    According to a very reliable source (a friend who was a UH student circa 1979), the middle finger to the 'Horns is the exact origin of the hand sign. Like he told me "it's this (middle finger extended), to this (hook 'em sign).

    I don't know about that... even the lowest level of SMUt's leftovers is a sure fire 4 yr. starter for us and potential Sun Belt Player of the Year material. Given the vast superiority of the talent pool of CUSA over the Belt, I don't think I'm wrong on this one.
