    I like top right flying worm and bottom left SOW, but... I'm still waiting for my favorite helmet to be designed. I'm not sure exactly what it would be, I know we can do better.

    I don't think this is a risk. SOW is a big part of our brand and, if they don't know it by now, they will soon enough. I think the folks that this is targeted at know what it's talking about.

    I'm not seeing it either. The way it is now, it looks like an itty-bitty logo on a great big helmet. It's certainly better than the "North Texas" script, but they need to enlarge the logo. And, sorry, I didn't mean to hijack the thread.

    Not yet. When the team gets good enough that we are consistently getting 7000-8000 on that side, then it'll be time. As TM mentioned, they would have to reconfigure field access to do it.

    Did a little research (I mean very little). Best I can tell, their weakness is a young secondary that gives up lots of passing yards. They are also heavily penalized.

    Not questioning the 2 pt conversion. This was the previous drive when we came away with nothing. At that time, there were still more than 9 minutes left and I think it's reasonable to wonder if making the score 23-10 wouldn't have been a good idea.

    Think of it this way...you've been following NT football for 5, 10, 15 years. Regardless of how long, the majority of those seasons, at the end of the 3rd quarter, which team is losing? I equate that song with losing. Time to change things up.

    I am so with you on this. That play is as big a beating as "Hey, Baby". It is a complete waste of a down. I think most officials look at it as, "If you're going to run that stupid play, under no circumstances am I reaching for the flag."

    While I'm not ready to declare that the OL is the only problem and we're on our way if that gets fixed, I do take it as a good sign that that is the one big, glaring issue. At least we're not talking about every position group being a weakness. I would guess it's easier to recruit for one glaring weakness than 5 or 6.

    Agree. I think there probably situations where some free tickets can be distributed, but you've gotta be judicious about it. Perhaps this is one of those situations. You need to make sure the intended honorees are the ones using the tickets and not just flood the market with them.

    Sat next to the GB when we played at UH 3 or 4 years ago (I think that's when it was). Anyway, this guy Williams is pretty funny. Some of the stuff he said through his PA to the band was cracking me up. Wish he would get the GB involved in some bits or something that could be entertaining to everyone.

    I came up with this funny idea for the Rice band. They roll out two guys on crutches...one with an SMU jersey and another with a Gator jersey. The band forms the number 18 (Wheeler's number) and they play "Do you really want to hurt me." I wouldn't be offended. I would LMFAO.
