Weather.com is saying a high of 48 degrees and sunny skies in Denton tomorrow. Should be pretty comfortable compared to what we've been dealing with.

I agree. We had our bench players in well before Troy did. Some of those guys only get a few minutes a year of game action and deserve to be able to play hard down to the final buzzer. For them, this will be there only opportunity in college basketball to play 5-7 minutes of game action. They had career nights! This is a small reward to them for working their butts off in practice all year.

In my mind, there are 2 types of showboating: 1. An act by yourself, to bring attention to yourself, to celebrate an individual play. 2. A team celebration I have no problem with a team celebration. Athletics are supposed to be passionate and exciting, and you should be able to celebrate with your team after a win or even after a great play. I really do dislike it when a player makes an individual play, then pushes away his teammates, to do an individual celebration. He doesn't even think about the fact that if his teammates didn't do their jobs, he wouldn't have the opportunity to celebrate.

If any of you played any high school sport, you know that this is normal talk inside a locker room. Now if he used this pep talk in front of the cheerleaders, then that could have been a little worse.

First off, let's not turn this thread into a bashing of Jones and/or Slinker. With that said, however you feel about the current state of the team, it's time to show your SUPPORT IN PERSON at the Super Pit tonight when OUR Mean Green take the court against Troy. Game starts at 7 PM, don't be late! After all, shouldn't all of the true Mean Green fans support all of our athletic programs?

Agreed. I think it's physically impossible to wear too much North Texas gear. I still wear some old North Texas shirts from when I came to school in 2002. Give me a minute while I dodge the bullets.

Good post. North Texas is a great school, with an excellent education, an up-and-coming football/athletics department, and if you haven't seen UNT's master plan yet, it will also be one of the most beautiful campuses around as well.

That master plan is extremely exciting. I highly recommend that all of you take some time to look at it, and realize how great North Texas will soon become! The new stadium is in this plan, and so are the plans for Fouts Field's replacement in that area.

I think there should be a good North Texas sports bar there on Fry Street. Something with good food and a place to watch the game. What do ya'll think?

I was one of the contestants during a game last year. I thought it was funny that they give you the answer, but then again, who wants to look stupid in front of all those people anyway?

Dr. Pohl is a class act and a very intelligent man. I hope he stays at North Texas until he's ready to retire.

Absolutely. I think every member of this board owes each one of you guys about 50 beers. I wouldn't recommend drinking them all in one sitting though.

Thanks for all of the hard work that all of you admins do. Even though I don't post very often, reading GoMeanGreen has become a good habit of mine. My fiance doesn't like it to much, but she'll get over it. Harry, I would love to have access to the premium content as well. Thanks.

I also graduated from Allen in 2002. I'm definately pulling for Allen as well. Wish I could make it to the game, but I have to work.
