  1. As much as Notre Dame can get on everyone else's nerves in college football, you absolutely have to respect their scheduling practices. They play one of the toughest schedules in football every single year. And as MeanGreenDork pointed out, they actually have the balls to go play a tough team on the road. I am not a fan of Notre Dame at all, but as a college football fan, who doesn't enjoy watching USC, Michigan, Penn St, etc. take on Notre Dame.
  2. Very good to hear. Thanks for the update, Lazer!
  3. Does the UIL still make you sign something saying you have not moved or changed schools for athletic purposes? I had to sign one before I was allowed to play high school basketball.
  4. I agree with you King. I definately hit up tailgating myself. I plan on being out at Fouts about noon for every game this year. I enjoy a good tailgating atmosphere before the game. Of course, I want more people to go inside the stadium like I do. But, I would rather they spend the afternoon tailgating and not go inside than not show up at all. Every person that is around the stadium adds to the gameday atmosphere.
  5. I remember reading somewhere before that North Texas has never had any major rules violations. Is this true? Can someone who has been around the program longer than I have please shed some light on this? Does the NCAA have a website that breaks down each school's NCAA infractions? It might be interesting to see how we compare with the others.
  6. Wow, looks like the NCAA came down harder than I thought!
  7. Interesting... I didn't know that. Thanks for the info!
  8. Anybody know why Hawaii gets to play 13 games?
  9. I agree. Our campus will be beautiful once all of these projects laid out in the plan are completed. Even though this plan is a few years old, take the time to read through it if you haven't already. It has a lot of information about the future of the University of North Texas campus. Makes me think about how wonderful this campus will look in 10 years.
  10. I'm getting married on June 30th. It was supposed to be after the Mavs Finals run (that worked out!) but before football season. Perfect!
  11. Good find. A very interesting list. North Texas is higher than a lot of currect BCS programs.
  12. Nah! That just plain doesn't make any sense.
  13. I know this was discussed in another thread, but I think this sounds like a great deal for both sides. JJ gets a reasonable base salary, that goes up every year. However, he can really make some money if he wins and sells the program (increasing season ticket sales). I think it's great that RV appears to be favoring this type of contract. It's a win-win for everyone involved.
  14. Good post, Stebo. I agree. Let's build up the Belt and build up the rivalries with these teams. And.... don't forget, root for every Sun Belt team in every non-conference game. The more non-conference wins, the better.
  15. Good post Charlie! I agree, we all have to do our own part. My friends and I (all season ticket holders) have already begun preparations for tailgating next year.
  16. I went as well. It was a good game. Didn't get to see JJ's pitch, as I didn't make it in until the 2nd inning.
  17. Thanks for posting this. It was a good interview. He is very excited about the coming season. It makes me look forard to it as well.
  18. Thanks for helping me get rid of my lunch. I've been trying to lose weight anyway!
  19. I'll be getting one for my car!
  20. Unless you are female of course, then it's perfectly acceptable.
  21. Apparently, you're not very committed to the program. I would gladly give my left one. Now the right one, I'd have to seriously think about that.
  22. Thank you, ShopMeanGreen, for supporting the Mean Green with your business. I stopped by your tent last year during tailgating. Great stuff! I never bought anything, but I'll make it a point to make a purchase next year. Please let us know when your new site is up. I'm sure all Mean Green fans will love to see what you have to offer. As Mean Green fans, we should all support businesses that support the Mean Green!
  23. I agree with her on just about everything she said. The parking situation at UNT is fine. It's not the greatest, but you really can't expect to park right outside the building. When finishing up school last year, I lived in an apartment off of Eagle behind the Frat houses. The parking lot between the Frat houses and my apartment building would be 90% empty year-round. Even during the first week of school, there were tons of open spots. It was a "Premium" lot, so it doesn't help those with "General" passes, but it just shows that there are plenty of spots open all of the time. At it's definately not too far to walk. I walked to class everyday and walked to Fouts/Super Pit on Game Days.
