I don’t know what you do for a living but in many jobs the accusation would be enough to get you fired. Working at a university with students isn’t a right, it is a privilege. This isn’t an “accusation” as some have said it is an arrest. An arrest that occurred after an investigation (as opposed to inflagrante delicto). Guilt and innocence are legal terms that are unrelated to whether or not someone committed a crime. But in the court of public opinion UNT cannot afford to stand behind this guy. We are not Baylor or SMUt.

Well Mooney has a full season of pressure kicks. But again, this season is different ya know? Backups need early game experience in case starters go down for non-injury reasons. Never had to deal with that before so I am just thinking realistically. Kicker is a pretty important position, especially if you might have to squeak by in several games this year.

Or SL wants the backup to kick in game situations against a team we will beat handily in case Mooney is injured, gets quarantined, or hits a slump? You guys are weird sometimes.

They aren’t picking the starter by alphabetical order, only the listing on the depth chart. also Seth has successfully run several offenses at schools that are not traditional powerhouses, so I am hesitant to embrace your overreaction.

I agree that we don’t have a starter but I think in this case it is ok and that we shouldn’t name one until Friday before SMUt. No reason to. Let SMUt also prepare for two styles. They will have game tape on both and will be able to see the difference (assuming their is one). Or have Bean run like crazy against HBU and then come out gun slinging against the Phonies. Whatevers. Doesn’t bother me at all at this point to not be locked in. Honestly I don’t much care if they do before conference play. I mean, we all mostly assumed a 1-3 (well now 1-2) start anyway so let’s figure out who the real starter is with trial by fire. The 2014 example shows the best practice qb may not be the best game qb anyway.

I’m in another country and my Embassy has strict guidelines here. I haven’t had an in person social interaction since April. We did eat on a patio last weekend so that was nice. Also on an every two week rotation to actually go in to the office. Not allowed to stay in hotels also but have been able to rent a cottage a couple of times to get out of the house. Lots of delivery and home cooking! Fortunately the wine shops all deliver. As does the vegetable market and butcher shop. Honestly you can get anything delivered here. Had a guy bring us a full fireworks display for the 4th and we live streamed it to our Embassy community. Life in the developing world has its trade offs. We just can’t afford to get sick because the health care is shaky at best and was overwhelmed all summer. Not allowed any other risk behavior currently either. Not that I do mountain biking or anything like that anyway but I couldn’t if I wanted to. Government service has its trade offs too.

I am all for it It results in wins. Seth is going to do whatever he thinks will be successful. It ain’t just the team’s success either. It is his reputation on the line more than ever.
