What a perfect opportunity to enlighten those about who we are, where we have been, and where we want to go and maybe, just maybe instill a little pride into each of them. There are too many positives starting with the stadium. So, did you back down or did you speak out in a positive enthusiastic voice and change the the conversation to UNT? Just asking. Not a big deal.

Whats sad is that most people don't know the truth about the Myth of Separation of Church and State. To the Founder Fathers "Religion" meant Christian Denomination. Read their tracts. Of course, we haven't taught the truth in our Public Schools for at least two generations. Not recognizing something as wrong for several generations gives it a superficial appearance of being right and allows a noisy clamor to rise in its defense.

Think how much money the Athletic Departments of the Sun Belt will save each year not sending teams to Denver. It all adds up.

Sorry if this has already been discussed. A Federal Judge recently ruled that the National Day of Prayer is unconsitutional. Said that it might influence children to pray to God and that it did no secular good. The ACLJ is appealing the ruling. I guess the president meant it when he said we were not a Christian Nation. One way or the other.

1) Jeff Bowen will not create the kind of splash this program needs. Yeah, he did some good things at USM but if that is as high as we want to go than we might consider moving back down to 1AA. The Fan Base will not be impressed. Also, it puts RV in a precarious position because of his ties to USM. Not a viable choice. 2) Mike Leech is trouble. Yes, he will have you on ESPN every day of the week and will more than likely fill the stadium in the beginning but remember his teams never really could play defense on a consistent basis. He would more than likely look down on us and not really understand what it is we want to accomplish here concerning UNT Football. 3) Franchione. NO, no, no! Too much baggage. 4) Applewhite? Good grief. 5)Levitte. Maybe, but man I would certainly grill this guy to the tenth degree. My choice.............................Terry Bowden. Thats your man if you can get him! PAY HIM! I agree! One of the biggest problems with the dark shaded green was that it showed up black when being televised on TV. That was because of the poor lighting at Fouts. The lighter shade eliminated that problem. However, the lights at the new stadium will require that many of us wear sunglasses. Now we can change back to the darker shade and it will look good. We need to change our colors back to Hunter Green. It will be good for sales of UNT apparel as well.

I believe I can honestly understand how Dodge must feel concerning Riley playing under him at UNT. Yes, hindsight is always better than foresight. I'm sure that somewhere Vizza feels the some way. And what about Meager. No, Riley coming to UNT didn't have any affect on his playing time but you have to feel for a kid who gave it all for the program, waiting patiently for his time, throws for over 600 yards against SMU only to be benched against Arkansas and seldom if ever to see the playing field again his senior year. And no I don't know Dodge personally. But what reason would he ever have to say anything negative about the students, fans, school or administration? Didn't he hire on with little college coaching experience and at a pay level higher than Dickey. And unlike Darrell, wasn't he afforded better facilities and the promise of a new stadium? As for comparing the character of the two men, I can only go on rumors. I never personally saw Darrell walking the streets in a drunken state in New Orleans, or witnessed him passed out in the bushes by the Athletic Center. I never heard him use profanity at The Blues Club. I wasn't there. If these accusations are true, than yes in that regard Dodge has represented us well. And like Dodge, I never once saw Dickey acting in a classless manner on the sidelines. If anything he was always too docile in my opinion. In defense of Darrell. He provided four Conference Chammpionships and set a Sun Belt winning streak that will more than likely last longer then the Sun Belt itself and yet didn't we all want more. I know I did. I'm guilty. I wanted him to make a better showing against more OOC games and to see a more disciplined team on the field in the Bowl games. I am not making any excuses for Dickey but I can understand how he must have felt before and after his firing. Everything he accomplished was never good enough for some other school to hire him away or for us, the fans. Who woundn't be bitter? Yes, Dodge has represented us well with his conduct on and off the field. Why wouldn't he?

I have checkmated Kings with the help of one pawn. Why are we not using all the pieces? Can our Tight Ends not catch? Riley is a great athlete. Very good field general, blazing speed and scrambling ability. Throws on the run with the best of them. But every defense knows he lacks the height and arm strenght to throw deep. Thats not his fault. So why do our coaches continue to give the advantage to the opposing defenses? Anyone heard of Jay Novacek? Whitten?

For goodness sakes man. Do you want a new stadium or not?

1) If it were not for the new stadium being built across the highway, this program would be finished. It would not pass a student vote today. 2) Never have I ever witnessed a crowd react with such "intense anger" as I did last night concerning the incompetence of the officals on so called fumble by Riley. The fans anger forced the officials to review that call. I believe they were actually scared. 3) Our kids lost this game last night but ulimately the coaches are responsible. 4) This "entire" coaching staff needs to go. The high school experiment has failed. We need change and a new spirit. 5) I feel for our kids. It is a brutal game physically. They work hard and go to school as well. I am very proud of all of them regardless of the record. 6) The loss didn't sting. Not a good sign or maybe it is.

My condolences and prayers go out to the family as well. This is a very sad day. Don't feel like football today.

And by the way, how many games have we won since then? It is absolutely incredible that our attendance has increased and a new stadium is being built. For that we can thank the AD and all those who listened to his dream.

No, not at all. It's a "powerfull" picture. I love that picture! Dickey actually posed for that picture. I wish I had it. If I did I would post it. It is a thought provoking picture.
