ESPN is confirming that it is cancelled

IF there going to cancel the game becuase of emergancy personal then why not just move the game to eitehr College Station, Waco, or Shrevport, or Dallas? I know that it would be played with heavy hearts but even with 5 or 4 days notice i bet LSU and NT could sell out Waco, Shrevport, or Texas Stadium. Forgoe the 500,000 payment and split the gate at a neutral site, and neither program comes out that bad.

I think it means that sometimes we dont jsut recruit great athletes but rather we recruit players that we know will be great college players but not neccessarily NFL players.

Hey Emmitt i saw you tonight at the game, was behind you while we both were leaving but couldnt catch up to you to say hi, that was a good game for the first half but it seemed to me that Ryan's offense was just to one dimensional (throwing long). As far as my almamater goes Gainesville beat Scott's Valley Ca last night 33-0. I know for sure NT is looking at our starting DT Clint Stoffles. In the first half last night he had 9 tackles and 5 were for losses, he missed most the second half with a rolled ankle but nothing serious.

Any possiblitliy that their going to change the name to Fouts Stadium so they can then come in and sell the right to the field so it would become "coporate sponser Field at Fouts Stadium"???

If i was Les Miles, i would scrap the last two years of NT games from my list of those used to scout us, (except to take a look at both PC and JT) but as far as gameplaning i would go back and look at the games after Scott Hall went down and Smith took over, becuase i think for LSU we will see alot of similar type plays. Those used not to let the QB do anything except be a bus driver.

Sometimes that isnt all bad, lets just look at the TWO best QB's in the state right now. Vince Young and Reggie McNeal, both came from programs that used the QB to run the ball, and both were considered project when it came to passing the ball, I dont know but i doubt either Texas or Texes A&M would complain with their current situation.

There is one glaring difference between NT and Baylor, if we were moving to the Big XII! That major difference is that we are a state supported school with a high enrollment versus Baylor which is a small private school. That alone will have us competing at a high level within 3 or 4 years. Its all about money when trying to compete at that level, and im quite certain that in this scenerio with in 2 or 3 years we would have all the money we would need, where as Baylor just cant afford to keep up with the Jones becuase of the lack of enrollment and state funds.

Ok here is one to play QB Jamarios legs, Andrew Smith's arm, and Scott Hall's Head.

Well think of it this way, if 5 to 8 thousand kids get free tickets to the game, and just half of them show up thats around 3500 kids coming to the game. Now for those kids to come to the game someone has to bring them. So thats around 4500 to 7000 potential tickets sold to the parents that are bringing their kids to the game to use their free ticket.

Give me Matt Philips For once i think DD may go with a pure passer at QB instead of a so-so passer with good legs.

The Championship Prowess is spreading, pretty soon when it comes time to name the preseason picks, there all just going to say NT accross the board, now who will come in second.

IF one of the many LSU Fans on here could explain this, but i was reading on one of their message boards that they have a new website that you have to buy a subscription to, but if you do, they will be showing the game. Can someone confirm or deny this? What does it cost? Is it Live? etc.

In the latest edition from ESPN (sorry its their premium content so i cant link or paste the article) but it mentions as one of their "whispers from around the NFL" that it appears Kassell will hold off Rocky Calmus (Oklahoma) for the starting job at MLB.

Is Detroit going to be playing in of their preseason games on TV down here?

My guess is LJ will no doubtatly try and bring in a YES man, that will do whatever he says and cause him no problems in his attemt to bring this athletic program back down to where people forget we have one and only think this University is here for academic reasons.

Was Kassell the only real player from that class?

Dont know how many have those words but i think all of them in the last two years have contained some kind of reference to "the area between those two interstates"

I do think it smart though that we didnt sew any logo into the field on the 50 or the 25 yeard lines. This way for special events we can change the logo, or if we decide on something else we can get that on their as well. Unlike the last turf were we were stuck with the eagle head even though we are no longer refered to as the eagles.

What game(s) will yall be going to this weekend? Personally i think im going to drive up and see Gainesville vs. Scott's Valley California Friday night. Then try and get down to SMU to see Highland Park vs Denton Ryan Saturday evening.

I havent been able to hook up the link (so if somebody could help me out on this) but if you go to ESPN's College Football Section, on the front page has a nice story of Jamario and Patrick. Mentions that the only fighting they do is on the road when it comes to what will be watched on the TV. It seems that Patrick is a sports fan and wants to watch other football games on GameDay, but Jamario (with that kid in him still) want the cartoon channel.
