  1. With the way we won games last year, i could easily see us improving on the field but take a step back in record. We were probably the worse 9 win team in the country last year, so i believe a 7-8 win year is realistic.
  2. While i have no idea as to whether or not there is a student section, i can say if there is, it is not enforced. We have seats in a section away from what used to be the student section and there is always a group of students that sit in front of us that are extremely loud and crude. While this doesn't bother me one bit, it is not the area that i want my two small children around, thus we tend to sit in other places around the pit. They need to get the students back in a designated area so they can all be extremely loud and crude together and directed at the opponents bench.
  3. Baseball is a much more level playing field due to the team only allowed to give out 11.3 scholarships i believe it is. Add in the location (can play just about year around) weather wise, location to talent and coaching and you have a recipe for success that doesn't equate to other sports.
  4. Seemed to work ok for how many QB's that turned to baseball for a number of years.
  5. I tend to agree with BTG on this, going into next year. Realistically though, If our defense doesn't improve it is going to be very difficult. Hard to blow teams out, when you give up 30+ a game.
  6. Of course he is going to take more shots when he averages 8-9 minutes more a game. Doesn't change the fact that his % is down though. Again, not arguing that he was a good FT shooter to start with, He wasn't, but I believe it stands to reason that him playing considerable more minutes is a factor on his poor % getting worse.
  7. Woolridge is up 8 minutes per game over last year and 9 minutes per game in Conference. His overall FG%, 2P%, 3P%, and FT% are all down, coincidence?, i think not. Not to mention, he leads CUSA in minutes played.
  8. 1) Wasn't making an excuse. Giving my reason based on an opinion. That opinion is, these guys are only going to do so much basketball practice during their off time, not more, not less. We as fans may not like that, but i believe it to be true. If Players A and B are going to spend 15 hours a week practicing basketball over the summer and decide that learning the new offense and defense of the new coach is more important than FT's then that is what is going to happen. 2) Walking the ball up the court? Have you seen Wooldrige play this season. That kid is just about maximum effort for 40 minutes a night. If you think that isn't affecting his numbers then your nuts. Top that off with the effort that McCasland demands on Defense as well and he is having to learn to play the game much more tired then he probably has ever had to do.
  9. I think you can chalk up the lack of improvement to 2 big things. 1) they were learning a new system over the summer and more than likely didnt practice free throws as much do to this. 2) A.J. has been battling the wrist injury and Ryan is not only playing 40 minutes a game, but also having to bring the ball down and facilitate those entire 40 minutes.
  10. If I'm not mistaken, the delivery fee for Walmart is a flat $9.95. Therefore partner up with your suite mates and put one big order in for the group of ya and split the delivery fee.
  11. FYI, I do believe you can order online from grocery stores around town, and have Uber pick them up and bring them to you.
  12. Also, have to remember, FSU then is not what FSU is now.
  13. Did i also see somewhere that Universities have to pay a 21% tax on their 5 highest paid employees that make over 1mil?
  14. Major difference in Wilson and Dunbar is Size. While Wilson isn't as good as Dunbar, he has the size to play in the NFL, for all of Dunbars traits, NFL size He is NOT
  15. Wife is wanting some fresh gulf shrimp Cocktail. Anyone recommend a place, surprisingly its not very common in the Quarter.
  16. I'm not confusing anything...I don't believe for one second that he had any legitimate interviews or interview requests, much less actual offers. All i was saying is I believe he his stating that Litrell turned down some P5 overtures in some aspect.
  17. i think he is trying to say that Litrell was asked to interview or if he had interest in interviewing and declined.
  18. - If you think spending $40-60m for high school stadiums an efficient use of tax payers dollars, then vote for it. But increasing tuition isn't in the best interest of the students long term financial health. You didn't ask me what i though about spending tax dollars on high priced stadiums or if I thought it was an efficient use of tax dollars. You asked the question "Would everyone here vote "YES" for increasing taxes?" As I pointed out, taxpayers "like most here on the board" do vote "YES" to raise taxes all the time. Now to your off base argument. Do i think spending $40-60m on high school football stadiums is an efficient use of tax dollars?, NO i do not. But do i think agreeing to raise tax dollars to build new or upgrade schools and athletic programs in said school is an efficient use of tax dollars? Yes i do. Have you lived in a community with a good sports program at the local high school? It brings communities together, and gives the residents a since of pride. Like it or not, In todays world, SPORTS... it is the Tide that raises all boats. Asking students to increase their portion of spending to raise those boats will be beneficial to them for years to come. Like it or not, generally speaking, a schools academic programs and degree worth is predicated on the success on the athletic fields. In return, successful athletic programs bring in more money and prestige to said academic programs, thus raising those levels, and what you end up having is a successful circle of life within the University.
  19. how did that work out for the previous 1..2..3..4...5..etc. coaches SMU has had? Name the last head coach (beside Morris) at SMU that improved his gig upon leaving?
  20. i think 1.5 or maybe even 1.25 would do it. Just show him we are making the commitment to him should be enough to keep him here for the time being over a SMU
  21. we as tax payers vote "yes" to raise taxes all the time to pay for schools. city improvements, stadiums, etc....
  22. The Team Hotel is a little outside the quarter, but everything is pretty close down there. The Quarter is what, maybe 1 mile by 1 mile square. 90% of what is being talked about here is in the quarter or on the outskirts, so you should be no more than a mile walk to any place that is being recommended.
  23. I know in the past games there was a bar (cant remember which one) that became "The North Texas Bar". They would decorate up with our flags and such. Have we heard if and where that will be this year?
