I believe it is up to the descretion of the university, but season ticket sales are allowed to be counted in the attendance report. That is why you hear numbers that do not necessarily up to butts in the seats. We are probably one of the few schools around that actually reported "true" numbers for years and who cares if we don't? Sheesh!! Can you not say anything positive for once?

Can you not think or anything even more vitriolic to post? I went to school at UNT when it was NTSU and trust me, it was not know as a place of purity. Those that want to go to a school free of drugs will have a hard time finding even one. It will not be found at Baylor, TCU, SMU or BYU. Drugs are everywhere. As for being a sinking ship, the rats will leave first. May I hold the gangplank for you?

My comment had nothing to do with "lower class" or Hippies". Notice all those schools are church supported. I was trying to infer that drug use is rampant at all schools and all levels. It aint just us and if those schools think so they are idiots.

I would almost bet that if ANY team tested all their players we would find simular results. Heck, we might even find them at those places of purity, TCU, SMU, BYU, Baylor and N.D.

Please tell me. What coach would want to come to a school that would give him less than two years to turn a program that was in shambles around? This teams primary problem is that the have forgotten how to win. When the start to play well they start looking over thedir shoulders and waiting for someone to make a mistake. (The fans in the stands are doing the same thing.) When they finally win the that first game, they will put a string together.

I am just glad this hack doesn't have a degree from UNT. Any REAL sports journalist would know that the word is "intRAmural" not "intERmural". I am betting we have a winning season before he learns to use spell check.

Have some of you forgotten that this is Todd Dodge's second season with this team? Have you forgotten that this team was left with almost nothing from the prior administration? Have you forgotten that thereis very little senior leadership on this team? The best is yet to come but we have to give them at least one more season. By midway through this season we should start to see some upward movement and we should have some viable hope to hang our hats on.

Count me as a Western Kentucky hater. I don't like their mascot, it's a RED DOT. I didn't like the arrogance of their team and I am sure we can all learn to hate them as time goes on. GO MEAN GREEN!!

We have Autumn in Denton. It is usually on a Tuesday and last for about 30 minutes, then it is winter. The only problem with summer in Denton is that July last until mid October.

Beer inside the stadium MIGHT cause a few more folks to come into the stadium from the parking lot. I enjoy having the BBQ vendors there. It is a nice change from cold hot dogs.

Can it get any worse? I am stuck in Lubbock with the ful and dial up connection. Sometimes, it sux being me.

Racism will exist as long as people look different from one another. It doesn't make any difference if I is color of skin, how tall you are, your eye color or you hair length. We will ALL find a way to seperate those that are different. The question is, how badly do we want to fight that instinct and what will we do about it? It is a battle that can never be one in total but can only be won on a personal basis.

I just got back from a vacation to Cancun. While sitting in the swimming pool I started a conversation with a young man from Montreal. The young man noticed my UNT hat sitting on a chair and asked if I was really a UNT fan. "Yes!", I replied. "Cut me and you will see that I bleed Mean Green." His next words were, "Is Giovanni as good as I am hearing?" To make a long story slightly shorter, he became interested in UNT Mean Green sports by playing the NCAA Playstation game. He liked the nickname, the colors and just started "studying" the team. I told him if he was from Montreal and knew anything about UNT he could have my hat. So, if you are in Monteal and see a man with a Mean Green hat, his name is Brandon and he is a fan. Now, I have to buy another hat but I considered it "spreading the word." Go Mean Green!!
