  1. Let me know and I will be glad to buy a cold one or three.
  2. I live in Bossier City and will be at all the home games plus ULaLA. I would be glad to tag along with anyone headed east and passing through to other games.
  3. During the Bill Blakely years, we used to bring the Mean Green out onto the floor by cheering "Bring On The Mean Green". Almost all in the Super Pit would get into it and have fun with it. I have no idea why it quit when Blakely left. I dont see why this would not work as a pregame cheer and to cheer the team out after halftime. I know this is not quite what you are talking about but I am also an old fart and live in the past. Forgive me.
  4. They both look good in green and white!!
  5. At the end of the Florida State game both teams had a snowball fight. When will the violence end?!
  6. I forget the name of the "town" but it is in Texas county between Guymon and Texhoma.
  7. A blowout, even against a lesser team, might give the team and us fans a shot of confidence going into conference. GO MEAN GREEN!
  8. My point is that the only reason UNT went to our four bowls was because there were "40 bowls" available. You cannot diminish his accomplishments because there were more bowls without diminishing our accomplishments.
  9. The same could be said about ANY UNT bowl appearance. What is your point?
  10. Personally, I believe that a win over Clemson or K-State would make a much larger impact on our recruiting than going to a lower tier bowl game. We will eventually get the win over Goliath, we just need more rocks for our slingshots.
  11. The kid and his mom were seated in the restaurant area. The FORMER bartender was delivering their food and making small talk.
  12. My wife is the manager of a new major hotel in Denton. The young man she hired to tend bar was not only a student but an officer in one of the larger fraternities on campus. He would brag to his customers that he would tail gate at the games but he was a UT fan. I have even heard him tell to a potential recruit who was in town for the kicking school that he shouldnt even waste his time considering UNT. Fortunately, there are fewer and fewer of that type student on campus anymore and clothing is gradually becoming easier to find. For the good news, I was in Lids at Northeast Mall and found four UNT hats. I bought a new green one that has the eagle embroidered on the bill and back of the hat with block UNT on the front. After making the purchase the young man said,"thank you and GO MEAN GREEN!" n
  13. I am glad to see that we have discovered yet another hot bed for talent. It appears we are talking with 4 or 5 players from this school. Prior to this we have looked at primarily Kansas and Mississippi JCs. I am also glad to see us going after high profile players. The "pretty girl" will never go out with you if you don't ask her. Keep up the godd work Mean Green!
  14. There seems to be much talk about the fragility of Riley Dodge and that Nathan Tune is more durable. How so? If memory serves me right, Tune was injured to end the season and sitting on the bench when Thompson came into the game. Yes, more weight and muscle will help all the players be more durable but saying Tune should start because he is more durable has not been proven to me. This is D-1 ball and quarterbacks get hurt. at
  15. I dont seem to remember Texas Tech, OU or UT using a lot of motion. They seem to do just fine.
  16. He has eyes but is too blind to see. Hate is blinding.
  17. Run or pass? I am betting you are correct at least 50% of the time.
