  1. These are settings that can be controlled by the group mod. I'm guessing you're right, and that the group is not global.
  2. I'll go with this, but purely for fun as I think they are all incredible and deserving...Hard to argue except that relative to their time, Chris Davis and MMarin were incredible players, but Kassell's impact on the football team cannot be overstated. MMarin was so incredible, but UNT Soccer would have succeeded without her. Davis, as great as he was, played on teams that could never quite get over that hump. Just my own personal perception, based on meeting the team a couple times, so take it for what it's worth: when they walked onto the field, there was no player that commanded so much respect and made his team so much more than Kassell. His presence was unreal, and was probably the catalyst for one of the best 2 - 3 year LB corps I've ever seen, in addition to the rest of the D. I vaguely recall there was a team meeting after the '01 LaMo loss, and it was Kassell who put it together and rallied the troops for what would inevitably the 4 year run. Maybe it was Kennedy or someone else. Someone correct me if I'm wrong... Maybe I am glorifying him a bit, but I just wanted to throw 2 cents out there in favor of Kassell's impact. All three were locks, anyways.
  3. One new bowl if 5 others fold. That's my criteria. Too many of them already.
  4. You're official banned from linking to videos moving forward. I have the internet's signature of approval. He says hi, btw.
  5. Come to think of it, I think Hal Mumme would be more applicable.
  6. It's the same idea as the spread - take speedy players and spread them out to create lanes/space to run in, except on steroids. It's a fun idea, but an A-11 probably wouldn't work at the college level for the same reason the true option doesn't work at the NFL level: the defenses are just too fast. We might have some fun and spotty wins in the Belt, but times will catch up and defenses will adjust their schemes. Want to know what would happen if you lined that up in college? Ask Mizzou how their spread has worked against the Sooners. That might be a start.
  7. You think denying tenure to 12 of 30 faculty was one nail in the coffin?
  8. I'm with Lonnie in this, except that OU's freshman last year turned out to be pretty darned good. But you put a 16 year-old up behind K-States o-line against our current DL, and he'll look pretty darned good.
  9. Considering our recent performance against the Big Sixers, I think that spread is pretty kind.
  10. Essentially, yes. Why wasn't that game ever given a cool nick? Much like the Miracle in the Desert, I think that one was just as incredible. Quinn and the defense were amazing that day. The Mud Miracle? Quinn's Mud-dern Miracle? Mud Mirage....nah. /done
  11. As a fellow Fry Street-er, can I join you in your quest to beat the 'dirty hippy' stereotype to no end? My pot-smoking friends and I live in a van down by the river due to relocation, and I am in the midst of a major identity crisis. Two weeks ago, I was certain I could bring my heterosexual life-mate and some lady friends to the upcoming CVS alley, create a porn and cause a traffic jam all in one parking-lot jamming, 37 BJ remake of Clerks. Nowadays I am trapped in an endless loop of corporate collared work flow and slow computers, tirelessly clinging to the dirty, street monger past I relished in my early 20s, when I was balancing Cool Beans burgers, Shiner pitchers from The Tomato, and little trinkets from Voyagers Dream that I could take back with me to the Music Practice North building.
  12. ugh. The BCS/FBS misconception on an AD level.
  13. If UNT plays ArkState in a mud pool with no lights, I'm there. But I understand your pain.
  14. The 3-4 defense seems to better fit our personnel this season. I hear the 3-3-5 is going to be the college defense of the future. Why not up the ante and mesh the two. Who's with me on the 3-4-5 defense?!!!!!1!1 Those Sum Belt Sumbidges will never know what's coming their way!
  15. Can anyone with an extra 10 million claim it is NOT pesky? ANYONE? ANYONE?!?!??! I rest my case. Not a single exaggeration to apologize for, Illuvious.
  16. I'll be the smartass I will be sure to not go to USA to get my next degree. *$%@ that fee.
  17. He was a coach for about 9 years. You've never seen the title carry over like this before?
  18. Tell them that Vizza now where's the jersey number "V" and shoots freakin' laser beams out of his eyes. Tell them Sun Belt secondaries are wearing kryptonite to try and slow down Fitz.
  19. ? I think he means if you want to take your craft seriously, you hold yourself up against the best out there. Is she doing this to be sexist, rich, or to hold herself to the highest level?
  20. Can we anticipate a collaboration with the makers of the game in which you can design a roller coaster? That would be an AWESOME ride to my seat.
  21. I was listening. Maybe you missed the part where she made 19 million last year. The open letter to her was pretty funny.
  22. So why has Flax drawn all this interest (Arkansas, Georgia Tech, NMSU, us, etc), yet it doesn't reflect on his "stars" rating? And why does Huber come so highly rated and impressive, yet i recall he only had 3 offers at my last count (2 of them Army and SMU?). Weird things swirlin' in the recruiting cooker.
  23. K, I'm fine now. Had to let that one out. On a lighter note, you know you're a Mean Green nut when you pass an office cubicle with a green manila folder labeled "SOW" and your first thought is Son of Worm.
