    Not weird, IMO. Grant is standing in front of his supporters and can proudly claim to building the winning culture in Denton.

    I think you take your chances with Morris and his injury bug in Denton, and then get Mooney.

    We are, mathematically speaking, exactly where I had thought we could be. I still think Memphis and FAU are favored, but they do not appear to be as unbeatable as I once thought they would be. They are very vulnerable, IMO, and we can steal some win(s) against them.

    I think this comes down to what we are actually working with in DFW, versus what should be working with.

    It’s not really excitement over the athlete, it’s excitement over the position. Coach Morris has plenty of experience taking a QB that is not hitting everyone’s radar, and turning them into the general of a really good offense. maybe “relief” would be more appropriate?

    We are slowly stretching our lead. Also, as usual, holding them WELL below their scoring average. I personally LOVE these games where we hold opponents to game totals in the 40s.

    I'm not convinced he was referring to UNT at that point. He had already heaped praise on UNT, pointing out the NIT 'ship and how well we have played at home. At that point, the question and convo had shifted to general American talk, and he was name dropping other teams in the league.
