AAC agrees foul should have been called
greenminer replied to cousin oliver's topic in Mean Green Basketball
Honestly, this has forced me to question what the foul is for. One one hand, Allen does a clear push-off. On the other hand, the defender clearly isn't affected. no flinch. no momentum change. nothing. If he had flopped, he might have gotten the call, but it's like he didn't feel any push whatsoever. What's the NCAA definition on this would-be call? -
I think this is the first time in history that the reigning NIT champ is playing the reigning CBI champ.

FYI, for anyone, we have the Mean Green Coaches Show. Doesn't feel the exact same as something Immediately following a game, I wish we had that too, but the production/setting seems so much better than what I see from most other school's coaches show.

Breaking: North Texas land Liberty Transfer QB Reese Mooney
greenminer replied to TheReal_jayD's topic in Mean Green Football
If what Mooney is saying is what the staff is actually telling recruits, I'm relieved. Stop settling! Maybe Morris actually reached out to Cam Ward and gave it a shot! -
Breaking: North Texas land Liberty Transfer QB Reese Mooney
greenminer replied to TheReal_jayD's topic in Mean Green Football
“They have five offensive linemen coming in from other schools and have changed their defense by going into the portal,” Mooney said. “They’re on track to win eight, nine, 10, 11 or 12 games and ultimately get into the playoff. That’s what everyone is striving for.”- 38 replies

Hey Chris, I think the confusion is rooted in your original post, in response to 3nOut. It reads like an answer to his question. -
Seeing the Morris signed re-ignited my interest
greenminer replied to meangreenfaninno's topic in Mean Green Football
This is about transfers and their enrollment, vs. incoming HS recruits that sign a NLI. Can we put the "college football is ruined" sentiment aside for 60 seconds and at least acknowledge a difference in the above commitments? -
I expect him to be about the same. Maybe a bit better in the passing game, whilst sacrificing some running threat. That's all we need, though. Keep the offense where it was at while we figure out the disaster that was the other side of the ball.

QB commit - Chandler Morris - transfer from TCU

I read your responses as, TCU chose Seals between Seals and Morris. Maybe you meant something else? -

TCU went with Seals because Morris left. -

Are you fn kidding me? If the next Morris comes in and loses to another freshman like the first time, I think we’d be alright! -
Is winning the AAC becoming realistic?
greenminer replied to Tommy Gadberry's topic in Mean Green Basketball
I don't understand why they don''t make all of them, every game. They're gimmies! -
Is Morris the last Portal Committ?
greenminer replied to El Paso Eagle's topic in Mean Green Football
They can add more now if they choose. If players entered the portal before the deadline, and are still available, schools can recruit them. Not sure who is available right now. -
All solid options, Emmitt. I give the edge to Mitchell, because we seem to be alright at guard and could use some more presence under the rim. Next in line would be either Hamlet or Bell.

There seems to be a massive divide in perception on Morris's ability. I'm not even talking about his injury bug; people seem very polarized about his abilities. My humble 0.02? Morris is bringing a lot more to the table than what Rogers did at the same time last year.
