  1. Hey Brandin, Feel free to call every week and guarantee me a win if you're going to break a run like that each time!
  2. I thought Carmouche was starting at Memphis?? When did he move to Baton Rouge?
  3. Looks like Niko will get some minutes! And on another note, I'm not sure why some people still question Alzee's abilities. The dude has done nothing but provide consistency offensively, and is still ARGUABLY our best defender (including T-Mitch). Definitely our best perimeter defender. He's also got skills on offense. If he steps up any more, he'll be making his case for team MVP.
  4. Depends on his foul situations. If he can't shake the foul trouble that he had last year, he's going to have a hard time averaging that point total. If he can keep the fouls under control, I wouldn't be surprised if he approached 20ppg.
  5. For sure. I'd rather lose all 4 of my limbs than lose my mind to Alzheimer's/dementia.
  6. Wow. An old picture of the Alabama Tony Mitchell?
  7. Bad news bro, I got the same SI issue, and along with the Tony story was their BRACKET PREDICTION. Only 1 SBC team, and that team was MT. SI is predicting that we do not make the NCAA tourney. That is not the top 65 teams.
  8. Fear not, my friend! Your engorgement down there may be caused by a hernia. The good news is this is easy to remediate by visiting your family doctor.
  9. ...not just from the Athletic Department, but from #24 Brandin Byrd! He thanked me for being a part of the Mean Green Club and asked if I had any questions. I just made him guarantee me a win this weekend. ... and he did. I like this strategy as it didn't seem like Brandin was just reading off a script or anything, he seemed sincere. I'd rather hear from the student athletes rather than the assistant to the associate director of concessions or something. Good job RV & Jessica, and thanks for the call Brandin!
  10. The only positive I see from this proposition would be the weakening of the Mexican cartels and street gangs. BUT, it has become so easy to get the stuff, that I bet they drop their prices a ton (making it significantly cheaper than the taxed, legal kind) to keep their product moving and keep money coming in. Then, there's the ever-present slippery slope argument. I just don't think it is smart to open this can of worms.
  11. "J-WILLickers!!! That was an insane dunk!" - Better make a few of these, because they'll be worn out pretty quick with the number of times you have to hold them up.
  12. Emmitt has a vision for this great nation. Looks like he is reaching across the aisle on a lot of critical issues and brings alot of experience along with fresh new ideas. Emmitt, I will follow you into the stadium this Saturday.
  13. I'm 'Merican. From AMERICAN Heritage dictionary: cyn·ic (snk) KEY NOUN: A person who believes all people are motivated by selfishness. But, point taken. I shower often, so I hope I dont smell like a dog. I just don't like any of these clowns, and I'm fairly certain Texas is a double-digit Red State all the way down the ballot, and if I were standing at the booth, I'd probably vote that way as well, so my vote would do nothing but widen the gap.
  14. Although Mitchell is a big, he doesn't really play like a big (of course, he CAN, but it's not his game). He's projected to be a wing in the NBA, that's why he returned to school this year... to develop that skill set. He often likes to compare himself to Shawn Marion. So, he may post up sometimes, but expect a lot of movement from him. I think Echenique will be a nice barometer for Coleman. I hope Coleman can hold his own against him. You guys have a healthy respect for Mitchell, as you should. I'm sure he sees this as an opportunity to shine against a premier opponent, but the guy who could emerge from the shadow to be one of those guys to add to your frustrating list may be Jordan Williams. He's a scorer. However, in his limited time last year, he showed that he can get frustrated and throw up some horrible shots. We hope he's a better player than that now. You guys will like our PG Jones. He's an exciting player. Chatman and Groselle are from our neck of the woods, so our guys know them well. As a matter of fact, Chatman and Williams were on the same high school team for a while.
  15. This is certainly good news, and I do like our chances if we get into a scoring match as that gives Mitchell a chance to take over a game and get his name out there even more than it already is.
  16. For sure Dirk, but also a little Larry Bird and Kevin McHale. Maybe some Christian Laettner as well?
  17. And the only group of people that are able to mobilize and throw wrenches in anything were extreme Right folks in the Tea Party. I think that means there are alot of people like me and you out there. At least Perot offered something different. I don't think a guy like him (not affiliated with the donkeys or the elephants) will ever pop back up on the ballot again because, as you said, the parties are guarding themselves at an all-time high level.
  18. Yes. ...for the first time since becoming old enough to vote. I've been growing more and more cynical about politics, and moreso politicians, over the past 10 years or so...
  19. No one is saying that the students inserted this to intentionally disrespect the school/song. That would make no sense at all. BUT, by adding it, however much fun it may be for you to yell it, you have disrespected the song. Find a different song for an insertion like that. There's always "Fly Like an Eagle", or the 3rd Down Fanfare. You know, the students also recently added the "WHO?!?" into the Alma Mater. I don't particularly care for it because it will be antiquated soon when everyone knows who we are, but it's not a big deal... maybe because it's not an expletive... Sorry, I'm probably just an old fart. You and the other students on here that are trying to say the alumni are shunning/targeting you cannot be more wrong. Most of us are very happy you're here (at UNT, at Apogee, and on GMG.com) and want you guys to make a ton of noise, make Apogee a killer place to watch a football game, and a nightmare for opposing teams to play. But us old farts like what few traditions we have to be left alone if they're not going to be STRENGTHENED. I'm sorry, but adding an expletive is not strengthening the Fight Song.
  20. Mike Eli bleeds Green. NT40. greek. worked in the SAC office. Good guy.
  21. He moves SO well off the ball. Constantly putting himself in a position to score.
  22. I'm saying fast enough to occasionally break the sound barrier. You'll hear the sonic boom when Jordan throws down a crazy ally-oop.
  23. Apparently Jordan is more reliable outside as well? And, if Mitchell hangs outside, he will hurt opposing zones as well by either shooting, or blowing by his defender.
