Likely there will be four 16 team conferences, and the Big 12 will not be one of them. UT, TTU, OU, OSU to the PAC. Other moves get nebulous, but there will be a few in the club left on the outside looking in. Then the conference champs go to the 4 team playoff. No damn committee needed.

Applied sunscreen to my face before leaving the house, but didn't bring it with me to reapply. I figured the sun would dip behind the press box/club level far earlier than it did and I wouldn't need more. Sweat it all off and my face is cooked along with forearms and knees. The knees actually hurt the worst. Lesson learned.

Ultimately Rice and S. Miss to the AAC may very we'll happen and USM is actively and opening campaigning for it. MWC could then look attractive to UTEP if it doesn't already. I'm doubtful those three schools will be in CUSA much longer. Not advocating a move to the MWC now but should these dominos fall we need to have had discussions, and be prepared to market ourselves to them as a package deal along with UTEP and maybe UTSA. Otherwise we could be left in a CUSA that is truly nothing more than a SBC 2.0 with NO Texas rivals, and UTSA looking at us their rear view mirror.

Of course the school's financial challenges will vastly reduce any likelihood of buying Benford out early now. Forget baseball as well and look for the AD budget to take a hit. Nothing but $hitty news since the bowl win.

Any chance that the football team will be honored at halftime of this game or another one coming up? I seem to remember when we won the NOB in 2002 that they brought Dickey and the team out at center court. Would be a nice thing if they did and gave notice to fans in advance.
