  1. It all comes down to this. Luckily, we are in the meat of our hitting line-up
  2. Absolute clowns. Wake the hell up and start driving in some freaking runs.
  3. We really do have some of the top Student-Athletes in the country. Earned, not given.
  4. Based on recent commits, Arkansas and Kentucky can be added to the list.
  5. Agreed on all accounts. Though Benn did fade late in the playoffs to the point he was a liability against the Blues. Young players, new coach, they faded in the moment as young teams typically do but I don't think sweeping changes are needed. Our power play kill was excellent and Polak was a big reason for that. Think this team just needs more time to mesh so passes don't stray, they don't pass up shooting opportunities to pass, etc.
  6. The effort last night was absolutely pathetic. Turnovers, passing around instead of shooting the goddamn puck, couldn't even string simple passes together. How many break away chances were screwed up royally to the point that we couldn't even get a shot off? I legitimately feel bad for Bishop. He was on another level last night and got little to no support at all. Faced over 60 shots and only let 2 in, amazing. Well, on to next season, Dallas Bishop's.
  7. As big of a joke as Stockstill winning C-USA Coach of the Year over Bill Clark. Just burn this whole clown conference to the ground and start over.
  8. Agreed completely. We learn that in freaking youth league that if someone is down, you blow the play dead or throw the ball out of bounds so they can be attended to. Seems like every major sport nowadays is being marred by terrible officiating. But if a fan calls out the officiating, we're either homers or conspiracy theorists. Officiating is a big part of my turn off towards modern professional sports.
  9. Yeah, they confirmed he will play. Just need him to be on it. And looking forward to it. The Sharks are dirtier than the Blues and that's saying a lot
  10. I didn't know this thread existed and was looking to start my own about the Stars. I really hope we get the Blues tomorrow. Their fans are the most annoying and deluded fans in the league. It's obvious we live and die by Bishop. Let's just hope he is on tomorrow like he was Game 5. Good news is he is good to go tomorrow.
  11. Maybe Trevor should give the Berries a try... https://deadspin.com/the-bears-search-for-a-new-kicker-has-already-gotten-pr-1834526574
  12. I don't think you're jaded at all. The results speak for themselves. Championships across the board, home run hires for multiple sports, record numbers in donations to the Athletic Department, improvements to most athletic facilities. I've always said that if there is anyone we need to lock down long term before they are poached, it's Wren. He is the real deal.
  13. Good luck, Woolridge. One of my favorite players. Will be awkward seeing him in any other uniform
  14. I also like it because you never know how things shake out in the future. Guy could commit elsewhere, hate it and want to transfer after his first year, remember his visit or offer here, and end up committing to us based on that relationship.
  15. Many of us were complaining most off-season about the lack of action going on in basketball recruiting. Now, we have too many players. Good spot to be in, honestly...
  16. I am a Raiders fan and my girlfriend is a Chiefs fan. I sent her an article about this and explained about how we keep putting players in their Hall of Fame/Ring of Honor. I then joked that Waters and Abner Hayes are the only Chiefs players; former and current, that I liked. She says if we keep churning out Hall of Famers, that's fine by her. Congrats to Mr. Waters and here's to the next group of Hall of Famers.
  17. McCasland has now proven that he can recruit, let's see how he can make this work. I'm confident in the outcome
  18. I'll be in Houston in a month. We should meet up and I'll show you exactly how I got my nickname, big boy
  19. We are known for a once-in-a-lifetime generational player. What is your glorified community college known for? Case Keenum. You have a higher homicide rate than Hall of Famers. Sit down you freaking clown. At least we can go to games without a threat of being robbed or shot.
  20. How about that UH NFL Hall of Famer that was brought up to present? Oh, wait...
  21. It's a board thing. Sites like CUSAbbs love making competition out things like that. Especially random, irrelevant stuff that don't matter in the grand scheme but to stroke their own egos
  22. Very interesting to see them say he will be drafted. We always knew he had the skill and accuracy to be an NFL QB but I personally doubted many NFL teams would look past the measurables and he would be more of a post-draft camp invite. Guess it makes sense he would get a look given his consistency in college as one of the top QB's in the country.
  23. They are a humble lot with hopeful optimism rather than unfounded pompousness. As I've shown, they are also top 10 in the country in the number of National Championships, but you wouldn't know it without looking it up yourself. While I hope they continue to improve, I want to destroy them every year because I like having bragging rights over my father, cousins, and friends.
