I saw this over by Denton Triangle Mall. I thought it was pretty cool for Frenchy’s to do that, I’m sure they have done this in the past. It’s big enough to be seen from I-35 heading north.

It takes time to build a fan base...or rebuild a fan base in this case. Very few people even knew about this tournament 2-weeks ago. I know everyone is excited about the direction of the athletic department but you just can’t expect a quick turnaround. Students alone will not fill the Super-Pit or Apogee. it has to be done by the casual fan willing to spend the time and money. That simply isn’t going to happen, in my view, without sustained success over multiple seasons. GMG

It seems that whoever still owns the Cotton Bowl got desperate after the Cotton Bowl left for Jerry’s World as well as the Texas and OU rivalry game. They rolled the dice on having a P5 Bowl game.

Do you know you sound condescending or is that just how you post? In any case it took 6 months for the flag to get this way so no way they were switching out every month since I actually live by the university so I see it everyday. It can’t be that expensive to stitch a flag up...if we can’t do that then we have bigger problems.

Well thanks to the internet and streaming you can watch pretty much anything at whatever time you want now.

I still don’t understand why C-USA let their conference championship opt to play in that bowl, against a questionable opponent. This further underscores why the long term longevity of this conference is in doubt. It would have been great for C-USA to get FAU a better opponent and a better bowl. But I guess as it stands all of C-USA bowl tie-ins are pretty bad.

It’s not crumbling but it certainly isn’t thriving....and a break-up is obviously not imminent....but it is inevitable. The future of G5 football may in fact be the splintering off into brand new conferences that make more regional sense. The C-USA champion went to the Boca Raton Bowl...against Akron. Not exactly a premier matchup.

An article was posted earlier in the week about ODU wanting to leave the conference. Many dismissed it and called the article a local newsman’s biased perception. This article is similiar but with a Texas view on it. Simply put a lot of these programs don’t belong in the same conference. It is true that college football attendance had its first decline in 34 years...but North Texas had record breaking attendance at football games this past season as well. You didn’t mention that because it doesn’t fit your narrative.

When I was stationed at Ft. Hood I would see UNT billboards in Killeen advertising how vet friendly UNT was. It worked on me at least.

I was about to ask if they reached their funding goal. At first glance it seems like they have but apparently not?

Students have a right to know what this complaint is immediately....not later. The identity of the person is irrelevant. I want to know why this voting referendum was jacked up for a second time around and how SGA or administration is going to fix the problem in the future. This is rediculous.
