  1. I feel decently confident that the Texas kids will make it here because 1) the playing time opportunity and 2) Chris Gilbert was part of the group that recruited them to Texas.
  2. He is. As well as a ton of talented QBs. And we’ll probably see more after bowl season. Not worried in the slightest about the QB position as of now.
  3. Well my hot take is that he should get every drop of Stone’s minutes. But realistically he should be taking at least half of them. His shooting won’t be any better but the defense would be a dramatic upgrade.
  4. Will be in attendance. I’m trying to take a patient approach to the season but I really need to see a rotation change Saturday. Walker needs minutes.
  5. If he has career aspirations beyond college, the chance to start at UNT is better than anything ACU can offer. I don’t see any world where Morris tells him the job is his and leaves it at that.
  6. Stone has his usefulness so to me I wouldn’t see it as QB recruiting not going well.
  7. Just noticed that Stone Earle deleted his ACU commitment post and his Twitter bio says QB at North Texas again.
  8. It’s year 3 and I’m still begging Stone to develop something other than effort.
  9. Broadcast still was calling him an UNT commit. But would make sense considering the number of DBs we’ve had commit recently.
  10. Big time PBU in the 4th negated by a phantom PI call
  11. My kind of transfer portal target. Has multiple years of eligibility, has seen the field a bit... good pickup.
  12. Dang imagine transferring to a P5 and your chances at a CFP appearance actually goes down.
  13. No idea how the cool vs warm works but thought this was interesting nonetheless
  14. Whew what a horrible loss. Rubin has been having a rough year and hopefully he figures that out before conference starts.
  15. My original hope of NIL was it would allow kids to star in commercials, sign sponsorships, etc. But the NCAA was completely unprepared for the moment. The idea of collectives just made it to where a group of donors could get together and pay for kids to come to their school. Not really the spirit of “name, image, likeness” but it is what it is. One day it’ll get more regulated but until then I think schools like us will suffer.
  16. It’s an emotional time in UNT football so I get it.. but save your anger for Chandler, Jamori, or Ethan who’s stop at UNT was purely a stepping stone to get to (or back to) P5 football. Oscar is not that.
  17. Oscar put his heart and soul into this university. Been here since 2019 and is very supportive of his fellow student athletes. I truly hope there won’t be people giving him grief on social media.
  18. Stone needs to be taken out of the rotation. It’s long overdue.
  19. What a pathetic effort to end the game.
  20. It’s not about screwing other athletes. Either their name, imagine, and likeness is worth the money or it’s not. Forgive me if I think keeping the starting QB of a revenue generating sport is more important than a member of the swimming team. Harsh? Maybe. But it’s reality.
  21. Yes, definitely situation based. Unless that athlete is in the top 1% of their sport, I don’t see the value of our NIL(s) investing in anything outside of football and men’s basketball.
  22. There’s no way to say this nicely so I’ll just say it like this: Giving money to athletes that are not football or men’s basketball is bad resource management.
  23. “They asked for my email address” gotta be the most hilarious response possible.
