Winning is very important; it needs to be consistent and extended, in my opinion. When did we win the last Conference Championship? But there are others like overall enrollment, event marketing, and game day atmosphere. Going out of your way to make an unfriendly student tailgate doesn't seem to help. Plus the actual attendance and reported attendance don't come close to matching, which can really skew the math.

If I remember correctly, Season Tickets were way down last year. I would like to know the number of season tickets sold in the best year.

John and his brother-in-law finally cracked the Russell's open over the weekend, and they said they really enjoyed it.

I think the hiring of Eric Morris headed off most of that and I believe (and I guess we will see in 6 or so weeks) Coach Morris has reinvigorated the fanbase. Plus, we will see how well Jared does this fall with getting the word out and game day prep.

I think there might be a perfect storm that may kill college football one day. My worry is a combination of the NIL, the portal, and fewer kids playing football.

Come on; let's face it Ford Stadium will be empty regardless of the time scheduled or temp. Any start time is pretty much a no-lose situation for SMU. Too bad they can't move the game to the boulevard.

I don't think Texas cares; they will have a full stadium regardless. The people @ Texas that make the decisions will be in a nice cool suite with plans for a big victory dinner after the game.
