  1. As stated before, this was a very impressive win. Vegas had us winning by only 4. Stone did make his shots, if we can get offense with his defense, it's going to really help this team. I think A Scott did A Scott things. We are really just one shot away from playing for a higher place, but that's the way the ball bounces sometimes. Some people may say Towson was tired, but we played the same schedule. This was a great confidence booster for the team and also as others have stated, we have 2 more games to gell even more before a tough match up in Boise. I think by that point we will see how much improvement the team has made. I can't wait!!
  2. It's funny the roller coaster this forum goes through. The defense played OK. They held a bad Tulsa team and honestly, almost gave it up. We are bottom of the AAC, we just aren't last!! Congrats!!
  3. We can't lose this one. https://www.towsonfans.com/index.php?/topic/3104-mbb-falls-to-wake-forest-71-61/ Reading that second post I could have sworn he was talking about North Texas.
  4. It's a long season and I expect Hodge to get things figured out, but right now, I think this team just relies on the outside shot too much. When it isn't falling, they lose. I mean, they took 32 3s today. I think most of that is due to not having a presence in the interior. Not sure why we don't see more drive and kick.
  5. This is where you miss TP. Last game and this game I say are wins with him.
  6. Well...back to the drawing board. It's early in the season, but this one hurts.
  7. I think this is the biggest difference in the game and the most frustrating part.
  8. I don't know how I feel about the game. Obviously, I think we have to win it to make sure we can beat teams that aren't as good, but I also feel like the committee understands where LSU is right now. When the seasons over, I think LSU will probably be Quad 3. They are like the Arkansas team a couple of years ago that everyone was beating up on.
  9. This is the biggest issue for me. A Scott can hit that, but comon, high percentage shots!!!
  10. 100%. I have never seen so many blown slam dunks or just bad handling of the ball.
  11. Anyone going to watch it somewhere? My buddy and I are thinking about going to Chop Shop in McKinney. Trying to get them to put the audio on.
  12. I think it is based on what he has done with the minutes he is given. Candidly, I don't know that we have really seen enough of him to know if he can consistently be good, but everytime he comes in he scores, something that can't be said for Stone. Now, on the flip side, I am not sure if his defense or effort matches Stone and maybe that's why we don't see him Moore. 😏
  13. I can understand that, but why give him so many chances versus others like Moore? Someone else on here mentioned it last week also. I want all our players to succeed, but I will say I guess Stone is doing something in practice very special because his chance seems to have a long leash. I saw that last season on the court where he was defending well. This season, not as much. I know it was only 2 games, but still question why others aren't getting a chance.
  14. Buggs and Rubin. If they both start firing like Noland and AScott, this team will be unstoppable!
  15. Yes! I was telling my buddy this exact same thing. It really did feel like the door was cracked, but we weren't going to let them open it all the way.
  16. I don't think anyone is mad at what he did. Glad he finally showed some offense. Just didn't deserve its own thread with such an outrageous title. Unless it was tongue in cheek, which I can't tell on here. If we wanna create threads about single players we should have 2 already for my boy A Scott.
  17. This is a great take on things. I too was in the camp of wanting to blow them out by 20+, but I understand the dynamics early in the season and if the guys weren't ready, we could easily be 0-2. I am not worried about Boss Hodge getting these guys in a position to win as the season progresses.
  18. I follow this perspective. Even with new players, and first year, we shouldn't be giving up 600 yards of rushing in a game. There is still a level of accountability you have to have and people are just saying, " It's OK to be the worst defense in the nation, because its his first year and he got here late." Good coaches make due with what they have and can make something from nothing. That means even with a lack of talent, a good coach would be able to at least make something from it. Not to mention the basics and fundamentals that are missing.....tackling just to name one.
  19. I think SMU is somewhere around here and doesnt matter what we score. Maybe 45 for us let's say.
  20. Here's another take though. How do you recruit good talent from the portal when you are the worst defense in the nation? What is there to sell?
