I like how Sam went from peer to close personal confidant in just one post. I don't know what's harder to believe, that Tyrone relies on this guy's opinion for life changing decisions or that this guy is going to Stanford. Enjoy every second you spend in Palo Alto Sam, because you won't last long.

I think in general the record matters when you look at players who play in the lower divisions of their state. That's when D1 talent, especially at the QB position, should be able to single-handedly win games. The best example is Tyrone Swoopes. A kid of that size should have been able to dominate 2A football in Texas, but his team went 1-9. That right there was a huge indication that the kid doesn't have the skill set to be a D1 QB.

This exposure has been great for us. I've had several people reach out to me about UNT football after seeing this article asking me if they can come to games. I hope Mason gets an opportunity to see the field while he's here. He seems like a squared away kid who just has IT.
