Look at the attendance the past couple of years... I thought this last night but it was confirmed when I heard of the interest level and communication. Bigger and higher ranked teams but steady decline in the attendance numbers since 2013. This is a VERY good possibility. It's ALL ABOUT... ????? and politics, of course. UNT will bring in FAR better numbers. Last years attendance was 20.2K for Washington and USM. The year before with LaTech and Illinois was 31K. We brought in 38K with "a shotty opponent like UNLV".

THIS. This is exactly what happened yesterday. They already thought they had it and didn't come prepared to stop the run game... Or... Anything else for that matter. ALMOST everyone will be back for the bowl. I see us in Tucsan or Dallas for the bowl. Agreed. It's pretty dumb to suggest otherwise.

Don't rule out Heart of Dallas. They want UNT pretty bad.

I can show you a team beat writer...? And absolutely... Good coaches don't air out their players to satisfy fans curiosity. Hopefully, they both learn their lesson. Not being able to compete this week and in a bowl is definitely punishment.

After last nights win, my family and I met our player outside of the locker rooms to congratulate and hug him. Afterwards, we started making our way towards the victory parking lot from the locker rooms and passed by the crowd of USM fans outside of theirs. At first, I thought that the crowd was a little stoic because of the loss but then directed my attention over to where everyone refused to look. One of the Southern Miss fans was laying on the ground and having CPR performed on her. I quickly shielded my daughters eyes and we started to walk away faster. I recently found out that it was one of the players grandmothers and she had passed away. Prayers for this player and his family.

I would hope that every loss generates an emotional response. If a program doesn't expect to win... chances are, they won't. This is not even close to the same team or program as last year so the comparison is stretching it. Theyve been humbled. Now we wait and see what they do with it.

Unfortunately for the Seniors that have invested 4,5 and even 6 years into UNT football... They don't have that luxury. I agree that that is a realistic outlook... But, so is winning 2 more games and a bowl berth. I guess we will see.

Today is the start of a new week and we still have a lot of football to play. This team has been unpredictable for the entire season. Depending on which team shows up... Anything can happen. I don't know if we got cocky (Lord knows that our fan base did) and relaxed after watching UTSA film or if we were just unprepared all the way around but our key playmakers didn't show up last night and UTSA played better than they have all season. You can pick on the coaching staff, our QB and his line, our Defense, the refs... But we were out played and prepared in every aspect yesterday. The question is - WHY? What changed? Momentum? Where was it? Where was the fire that we have seen the past few weeks? What happened after the last three weeks leading into yesterday? Was it preparation? Was it lack of mental fortitude? What the hell happened? Why did the NT team that played MUTS come back again? We WERE NOT READY TO PLAY. WHY? Injury questions... Look at the last four games box scores. There were five key players that were instrumental in our wins that did not perform yesterday. ---Is Fines hand hurt? Lots of people asking this. I know that he has not represented himself as a killer in the passing game but watch some of his passes NOW... (with that being said- UTSA DBs out played our receivers. No one was open when he even had time to even throw. So here we are throwing "wishes" into double and triple coverage...) --- Is Wilson still recovering from injury? Record breaking weeks then.... ??? I find it extremely hard to believe that our O line faced a tougher defensive front last night than they did at Westpoint. Don't get it. --- McClain...? Are you ok, man? Where were you last night? --- You can also add Jenkins and Brooks to the list of "Are you ok, man?". --- It was evident that with the loss of Gunter on the OL last week... OUCH. His absence is noticed. From my understanding, there were also numerous concussions last night. We might want to start praying for this team's health... I saw a lot of people commenting negatively about Fred Scott in chat last night... To you I say.... "Idiots..." Welcome back, Fred. Thank God you are back. Don't do anything stupid. We need you. ---KENNY!!! ???? With as hard as this guy has been playing... I was blown away that that was only his FIRST touchdown last night. CONGRATULATIONS. ----If I bump into Eric Keena on Oak... I'm buying that guy a shot. Way to play, buddy. ---This is still the BEST, but most bipolar fan base I have ever seen.... The same people who are so quick to start posting about bowl projections are the same ones that are throwing this team under the bus at the first sign of struggle. Anyone can hide behind a computer to throw shots and you have a right to do that but do it with a little less contradiction and your comments might have more weight. Some of you sounded like confused little bickering girls in the chat room last night. Grow a pair and quit saying stupid crap or handle your booze. I remember my first beer.... ? I am unshaken in my belief in this coaching staff and this team. No doubt, we are going to have to be healthy, aggressive, prepared and MOTIVATED to compete this homecoming Saturday at Apogee. HOWEVER, this season is far from over. Anything could still happen with this team depending on which team shows up. This has been by far, the best case scenario for us dealing with these growing pains in a "rebuilding year". I'm PROUD to be a NORTH TEXAS FAN. GMG!

A few of our players have been honored by their middle and high schools and are in need of good High def shots for banners to hang inside of their schools. This is extremely awesome for North Texas recruiting (especially with the kids who are local for them to dip further into DFW recruiting). Can anyone point me in the direction of a sideline photographer who may already have photos or can get us some for 3-4 of our players? Harry? Can you hook us up?

#22 and #28 SMOKED us. They collectively had 14 tackles and a sack last night. They total 39 tackles together for the year. Their DBs were bad ass. Their D line out talented and played our O line in every way. I would imagine our RBs are sore as hell with the few touches they had. If we had figured out how to use the TEs more sooner it would have possibly been a closer game. *Another thing we noticed... MUTS took film seriously. They knew the weak links in our chains on both sides of the ball and they knew who to double cover. They were better prepared and a more mature team.

We did. That was my first time witnessing that in person. Totally took away from the fantastic job that they did performing it, among the obvious other things. All you heard was whispers of shock that there were about 10-15 that we counted. We were very disappointed. Wonder if they were scholarshiped members? Surely that would be inappropriate....? * to answer a question... They did not sit. They took a knee.

Please No. Believe it or not... Mike is one out of a handful of dudes I actually really like on this board after meeting him personally. Lol we have liked him since NOLA.
