  1. Anywhere from 0-12 (you guys are afraid of UTSA and Idaho and that's a very disturbing sign) to 3-9.
  2. UNT football was ruined the moment they dropped down to 1-AA (FCS). Now its just a zombie that won't stay in its grave.
  3. A golden dumpster with silver flames would be the PERFECT trophy for UTSA, Rice, UNT and UTEP to play for.
  4. Gotta love the insecurity and inferiority complexes the people of GMG and UNT in general have towards SMU. On another note, as mediocre as SMU is in football what honestly makes you think that you will beat them when you can barely beat (and in numerous cases, lose) to bottom feeders like FAU and have to play your starters until the end of the 4th quarter against FCS teams. Before anybody tries to throw crap at us for only winning 7 games in the Big 12, let me remind you that we did it with a freshman qb, went to a bowl game (something that UNT hasn't done in about 10 years and most students were either too young to remember/care or don't even know that UNT has even been to one.) Plus its more wins than UNT has gotten in a long time. I know you guys are envious that you don't have a guy like Pachall on your team, so before you throw crap at him. We all know that you all would be falling over yourselves if UNT had a guy with his skill set. (We know that won't happen since your coach doesn't recruit very well. ) and at least he shows up to practices, worked hard, actually earning the starting job not expecting it to be handed to him, is a proven winner and isn't going around punching people at parties he has no business being at. Oh and at least Pachall owned up to his mistakes instead of pointing the finger at others.
  5. Yet you guys got wrecked by them in back to back years. Plus they lost to Texas State. At the end of the day, this pissing contest is pointless. Neither of you stack up to TCU.
  6. Now I knew you were a senile old fool but this takes the cake. Many of the current cusa schools are excited because they know that this is as far as they will go. Being content with a heavily watered down CUSA (this conference is absolutely nothing like it was when we were in it.) Is why UNT is where its at today. Being content with no drive is what got UNT left out of the SWC. Being content with no drive is what got UNT left out of the real CUSA. (The original one) If we weren't always looking for greener grass (inb4 somebody makes a drug joke) we wouldn't be in the big 12 right now. If it wasn't for the big 12 callup, we would be in the AAC right now. They are all hungry and for about 4-6 of them, their next move will be to the p5 should everybody go to 16 teams each. So go ahead and be content with being a third-rate football team in a fourth-rate conference. Its all you guys have been your whole lives anyway.
  7. He was just waiting to see if we were going to offer and our staff liked what they saw. I told you so. I told you so. I told you so. I told you so. I told you so. I told you so. I told you so. 8. Now he can stay close to home AND play big boy football.
  9. Well, UH thought the same thing about UNT apparently. Only at UNT do you talk smack to a team that dropped 44 on you. You guys are an embarrassment to our metroplex.
  10. How can you call them a high school if their academics are better than UNT's? Plus they are a Top 200 school unlike that place in Denton who's only a "regional university". According to Google, UH makes almost 8 million a year in football revenue alone plus don't play bodybag games for paychecks. (Though I'm sure they paid UNT some money to come to Houston last year.) So I think ODU has quite a while before they surpass them. Of course both of them pale in comparison to our revenue but that's a whole nother animal. Still, you and your art school degree or whatever willy-nilly they teach at UNT and your minimal donors plus your FCS-esque "football profit" (which actually has your athletics department up to their eyeballs in debt hence the paycheck games) shouldn't be talking. Your AD should be fired for that and your alumns should be ashamed of themselves.
  11. You didn't do very good research. Clemson, LSU and Houston may not have "cuss words" in their fight songs but CK did post some examples of students have chants containing cuss words plus I found a better version of LSU's Neck song and even pulled up something from Clemson. Houston ^I heard "talkin bout them m'fn Cougars" in that one LSU ^Suck that Tiger d**k b***h Clemson ^F**k you seminoles chant. (Mocking archrival Florida State) and do the tomahawk chop with their middle fingers. NONE of the above would ever be allowed by UNT and GMG would complain like there's no tomorrow. So he does have a point. I thought the high road was TCU's specialty....
  12. On top of this, it's not like it was a close game either seeing that they racked up well over 600 yards of total offense and forced their beloved McCarney (who's only a step or two better than Dodge) to quit at halftime. (Which was confirmed by many GMG posters.) Me and most other TCU fans don't give a damn whether UH is invited to The Big 12 or not but UNT can't in o way, shape or form knock anybody's football performance. Not even Southern Miss who went 0-12 and will take UNT to the woodshed this year. Hell, if they weren't so pathetic, I wouldn't mind making a series with them and turn it into a 3-way battle for a DFW trophy. (Not the Iron Skillet, too much history in that for UNT to be involved esp since they arent a former SWC school.) As a matter of fact, I wonder why UNT (or NTSU as it was known at the time) wasn't invited to the SWC while every other Texas school was.
  13. It's not like UNT will be going to any of these, so it really doesn't even matter how many bowls CUSA has...
  14. GL2G makes an interesting point. GMG is putting a lot of hope into a guy with a fairly checkered past, who hasn't taken a gametime snap in almost 3 years. The staff has DT entrenched as a starter for a reason. And before somebody brings up Pachall, not only is he a proven qb plus a 1st round FL prospect, but we were successful with Boykin under center last year AND we all know UNT would KILL to have either one of them in Denton. Especially Pachall (who I'm almost certain a lot of you would predict no less than 9-3 if that were the case.)
  15. So...because he didn't pick UNT you went from praising the kid to trashing him? Wow and you wonder why UNT has such a bad rap in the metroplex when it comes to recruiting. Keep in mind that recruits and their parents read these boards and see what guys like you post.
  16. B1G- 14 SEC- 14 ACC- 14 Big XII- 10 PAC- 12 -------------- 64 teams If there are to be 70 teams in 5 conferences, then the Big 12 needs to invite 4 and the Pac needs to invite two. I can see Boise, Cincy, BYU, UCF, USF, and UH being those six. I could also see a scenario where Temple, UCONN or Memphis get an invite but that's pretty much it. It's only a matter of time before this happens imo.
  17. We had our petition for a 10 team CCG rejected and even though I prefer to stay put at 10, we are talking to candidates. I don't know whethr or not what CK is saying is true but I wouldn't be surprised if they are brought in because of what A&M is doing in the SEC plus good ol' polyticks. I'm indifferent towards UH for the most part but I admit they do bring a few things to the table and have some potential. SMU on the other hand...is a lost cause and I wouldn't be surprised if your theory turns out to be correct. Apples to oranges comparison my friend. If what Cougar King said is true about B12 officials, that's different from having guys from Vandy looking at Apogee. (If anything, your AD was trying to get a series going with them and they were seeing if your facilities were adequate) UNT will most likely never even get considered for the SEC or any P5 conference for that matter. If any of this comes to frution and UH is invited to the big boys' table, then I see either Rice or UTSA most likely being the AAC Texas replacement. Which in would be astonishing for a 3rd year program.
  18. If UNT is on TV and nobody watches or is at the stadium, are they still playing?
  19. Since nobody else is gonna say it, I will. Their opinions flip flopped because Warner and Jimmerson are black and Abbe is whte.
  20. Like I said last week. You guys might seriously lose to Idaho. Those Petrinos can turn around any program.
  21. ACTUALLY I'm an alumnus. (Class of 2008 mind you). Second, that rant you just went on was what I expect from my 11 year old brother and you're what? 42? 43? Get it together man.
  22. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA...HAHAHAHA...HAHA....HAH! You guys didn't even get that many for your stadium grand opening where UH came to town (If we played UH at Amon Carter, there would be 50k there.) Hell, I don't think you guys even broke 20k when you played Louisiana-Lafayette on national tv. What makes you think you'll get that many for IDAHO? Texas State and UTSA have been playin FBS ball for only 1 year and both of them outdraw UNT. Stop trying to act bigger than what you really are. We are DFW's team. Unlike you guys, we don't blame pro sports or other schools. We fill our stadium because we are somebody. Hell, the skylines in both Dallas and Fort Worth have glowed TCU purple.
  23. Anywhere between 0-12 and 4-8. Idaho is ran by a Petrino now and will be ready to play, I wouldn't be surprised if UTSA knocks you guys off in Denton.
  24. As I recall, we did pretty well with our Freshman quarterback and even went to a bowl game, something UNT hasn't done in about a decade. That being said Pachall is byfar better than anybody on UNT's roster. If that "coke-addict who spent the last season in rehab" transferred to UNT, you all would be worshipping the ground he stood on, claiming a CUSA championship, bowl game, called Mac a genius for reeling him in, etc. etc. etc. Getting into a pissing contest with TCU is a battle you will never win so you should do the smart thing and stop. lol
  25. This is what happens when you put all of your hopes and dreams onto a guy who has not taken a snap in a real football game in almost 3 years.
