Regardless of who starts, you guys are still one of the sorriest teams in the country.

BYU isn't in the PAC for religous reasons, their academics are perfectly fine. Boise and UNLV won't get in due to academics. USF and UCF are tossups for the ACC but seeing that Temple and UH are thought of as more valuable than the Florida schools and Memphis according to their media contract and ESPN placing UH as the 2nd most valuable non-AQ school (BYU is #1), it wouldn't surprise me to see them taken by a gutted ACC or something. That being said, UH's geography would put them on an island in that scenario. I could see UH potentially go to the PAC IF and ONLY IF the Pac can't get ahold of UT/Tech/OU/OSU and seeing that UT does not want to give up the LHN, then rthat would leave the door potentially open for the Cougars. SMU won't be going anywhere. They are trying to ride UH's coattails but it's only a matter of time before they get cut loose. Their support is as bad as UNT's the only reason they've gotten as far as they have is because of recent winning and $$$.

This. Nobody is keeping UNT out of anything, If UNT stops drawing nothing more than flies to their football games (You guys actually get excited for 22k ), hires a competant staff (I honestly don't see too much of a difference between McCarney and Dodge. Borth of them have had dogfights with teams like FAU, have terrible recruiting classes and get demolished by anybody who's at least halfway decent), have an administration who is willing to support athletics, continue cleansing student apathy and stop acting like somebody owes you something, then and only then will UNT get somewhere. Until that day comes, I see UTSA as the next Texas school to join the ranks of TCU/UT/A&M/Baylor/Tech/UH/SMU aka the ex-SWC schools.

Today was obviously a slow news day, hence why UNT got on the front page.

Appalachain State and Georgia Southern will surpass UNT within the next few years, assuming they haven't already. (Considering that APP State beat Top 5 Michigan in the Big House and has won three straight FCS titles in recent years and GSU being a traditional powerhouse who scoed more points on 2011 Alabama than any other team in the country). That's also not mentioning how both programs despite being FCS, have outdrawn UNT as well.

I don't care for Houston that much but I will say that's better than being on UNT's level. Everybody with a different opinion is a troll. #GMG logic

Ok, this is just downright delusional. Bankowsky has not done a single thing right during realignment, if he was going to play his cards right, he would have done so by now. CUSA lost 3 out of their top 4 largest fanbases (ECU, UCF and UH) and all of their previous conference champions save for Southern Miss. He should have only added maybe 1-2 teams, wait for the old BE to implode then absorb all of the teams inculding their AQ bid and ESPN deal. He failed miserably at all of those things and teams like USM and Marshall are going to pay the price unfortunately.

That's funny since Rutgers and Va tech are not only big boy programs but they would both obliterate UNT like it's nobody's business. So I honestly don't think you as a UNT fan even have the RIGHT to call somebody else horrific in football. I see that when somebody from another school expresses their opinion that isn't sunshine pumping, it isn't tolerated on GMG. Apparently my posting has been limited and one of your other posters in another thread apparently told me that I needed to be banned and most likely reported me to the mods. Whatever, I'm going home back to Killer Frogs and I'm going to hang out on Baylorfans, Ponyfans, Coogfans and even poke my head in at ShaggyBevo and TexAgs. At least they don't get sensitive when an outsider is honest and realistic.

SMU just defeated Utah in front of a packed house. UH lost a buzzer beater to Prarie View A&M 81-80. The Coogs have a big game against Aggy this Saturday and according to their boards and the CUSA boards, tickets are almost all gone. Both teams are 6-1 and on the rise it seems. I haven't watched UH but it seems like Danuel House is the real deal. We play them in FW next week so I'll get my chance to see them then.

They are two of the most sought-after non-AQs. They both will find some place to land should the Big East implode.

You guys may as well add them. Not much of a choice really.

UNT delusion at its finest. We're here to stay first of all. Second, do you really think you guys are even on our radar? Nobody cares about UNT. Even TWU gets more support. Even if every tradition is thrown out of the window, there will be one that will remain until the end of time and that is keeping UNT out.

When a school is added to a conference, there has to be a unanimous vote and as long as we have a say-so, there won't be any trace of UNT in the Big 12. Plus, we don't need you guys becoming a nuisance and trying to get in our way.

I only read Harry's reply to the quote and saw that it said Big 12. I don't care if you guys go to the MWC.

Even if UNT was seriously considered for the Big 12. I guarantee we would block you.

You can call it whatever you want but the reality is, The Big East is still a few steps above CUSA/MWC/MAC and Sun Belt. From a "have's" perspective, I can tell you that we still view The New Big East much more favorably than the other 4 conferences.
