Efforts to counter-act "Mother F'in Eagles"
Christopher Walker posted a topic in Mean Green Football
Ran by the stadium tonight to observe some of the good ol' indoctrination of the new students from the band, cheerleaders, Talons, and football team. I noticed during playing of the fight song that at the usual "U... N... T... {motherf'in} Eagles!", the Green Brigade members were yelling "{super awesome} Eagles!" I giggled.- 104 replies

You'd be seriously leaving out some amazing content in overlooking Podcast Ain't Played Nobody (or PAPN) from SB Nation/Banner Society hosted by Steven Godfrey. They're a couple weeks into the "2.0" version of the show now that stats wizard, "author and pro-pri-et-or" of S&P+ Analytics, Bill Connelly is no longer with them having moved to ESPN. However the revamp is still excellent and features more personal coaches interviews and leverages Godfrey's deep connections on background with nearly every FBS team in America. Yes, even ours.

I always find it out that Cal puts their team bench on the opposite side of most fields.

I’m going to switch it up this year and go with hometown hero Tyreke Davis at LB. Let’s say 32 solo tackles and another two dozen assisted. -

I think custody should go to the one who spells Loren’s name correctly, imho. -

This is still Joe Greene Hall, but the corner of it facing the intersection of Ave A and Eagle Dr. There is also a new Welcome center right behind this hall along Maple St. -

Cal Secondary - best in the nation???
Christopher Walker replied to Philip Ferguson's topic in Mean Green Football
If we get through the first half of the year 4-2 or 5-1, I think we’ll be primed for another landmark season. The latter half of the slate just requires us taking care of business and staying healthy. -
Cal Secondary - best in the nation???
Christopher Walker replied to Philip Ferguson's topic in Mean Green Football
Yep. And their linebackers are no joke as well. Our first six games present a slew of interesting benchmarks and narratives. 08/31, ACU - how have we adjusted to Bodie Reeder’s offense? Are things clicking? Is Fine comfortable? Can we maintain the appropriate amount of separation from an FCS program and put away this game by early in the second quarter? 09/07, at SMU - what is the comparable rates of progression between Littrell and Dykes? Is it apples to oranges with their rate and quality of P5 transfers? I feel this one is among the closest analogs our teams have to each other. 09/14, at Cal - do we show up again in a big way this year? Can the offense be elite enough to diversify and control one of the toughest defenses known to this level of play? I will be thrilled if Fine has 250 passing yards in this one. 09/21, UTSA - can we finally not let these posers get under our skin and hang around? Separation, separation, separation. 09/28, Houston - Against arguably even defenses, how do two of the top-5 G5 QBs grade out against each other? Who is more established in their new offensive schemes by week 5? 10/12, at Southern Miss - are we tired by week 7? Will we not get beat by the Bye? Can we prove the critics wrong and show that SoMiss does not deserve the presumptive West crown?- 5 replies

Fundamentally disagree. It could be a huge benefit to each school of a yearly competition for “The Golden Triangle”. Bragging rights abound, etc. -
No one goes there anymore - it’s too crowded.

So how do we make the flag happen?
