  1. Hired Asst with strong HS and AAU contacts! He looks strong!
  2. Would like to see a youthful guy like we did for football! I also think having Texas AAU contacts would be important!
  3. Wren "I would like to inform everybody that I will fire Benfired at 2:09 on the 15th!" In other words it is nobody's "F" business. Let us know when you HIRE a new coach!
  4. At 6'3 211 lbs athletic with a rocket arm he may be hard to beat out. The bueaty of Fine's work ethic is hopefully it rubs off on others. Vey exciting! GMG
  5. This may be the best 1,2,3 we have had in a very long time. Hope Izzy plays a lot!!
  6. You don't talk about who you fire or let go! You talk about who you hire!
  7. Hope you are wrong! Would like to see it closer to Ap!
  8. I don't know how you get that, but I am sure you have some inside connections! I really believe Benford is not a game time coach! I was with the team for the first two years and I don't know if I have ever seen a frequency of substitutions that he incorporated! It was like he was looking instead of having a game plan!
  9. D-Hair in the slot could be special! We need a lot more out of that position! Rico Suave is my man this year!!!
  10. I think it is great because you will have shuttles run back and forth hopefully cutting back on traffic and parking issues within campus. Also parking places mean $$$$. Will definatly add some money to the coffers!
  11. With 2 games left you bring up a very strong point!! (Sarcasm)
  12. All is great, but the biggest item is having access and an AD staff that I feel is really ready to listen! GMG
  13. Jack me up!!! Great to hear! Rico is my man this year on offense!! GMG
  14. Would like to see us in a MWC... Southwest Division. Adding UNT, Rice, UTEP, UTSA and maybe La Tech TO UNM, CSU, AFA, Wyoming
  15. So soccer needs a separate practice facility? Can't see that happening. They will also have access to the IPF.
  16. Agree, but not on the west side!! Neat to have big doors that can open!!
  17. Would there be any advantage to have the IPF centered with Track & Field and soccer on one side and a football practice field on the other?
  18. This makes a lot of sense! I can't imagine any sports facility being doubled in cost and getting approved by the BOR.
  19. I had thought an IPF in the $10m range? I guess it could be closer to $15 or more? Congrats to all!
  20. Can they cover it and make it 100 yds? Man that sounds expensive!
  21. This generation of millennial athletes can't perspire! That is why they have to have a IPF, breathable uniforms and if they do sweat they have uniforms that wick away because god forbid it touches their body! Back in the day we would play the whole game (now the sub every other play) and on special teams ( now they have specialist for special teams) We didn't have all these special items, because we were told over and over by coach we weren't special. How did we survive? Salt tablets! As some of you younger guys may not know sweat taste like salt, so it only makes sense that you would take salt tablets to replace the salt. UNT could save a fortune by bringing salt tablets back! In fact together we could make salt tablets "Great Again" (it is your responsibility to google for all side effects) But don't sweat it! GMG
  22. Uh uh you think he is asking for jet fuel money? Get Er Done Prez!!
  23. Yea let's drop $10m and not research the hell out of it! As technology changes so does construction with big changes in construction procedures and materials. It wasnt that long ago that the Cowboys IPF was blown over by straight line winds! Make it multi, multi use and it would be great if it could also incorporate features that could be used outside of athletics. In looking at Boise based off some of their features they also use it for conventions!
  24. Our goal is Boise State? Based off USA Today their budget is about $10m more a year the ours. They have a great IPF. Natural light is important. They also have a IPF for track, and soccer. Today you build a combination and get all sports involved.including softball, golf and eventually baseball...indoor batting cages are very advantageous. It needs to be very architecturally attractive especially seeing it from Apogee! To be able to have athletics in one location is a great !
  25. Uh uh they could of just drove down to Highland Park!
