How are schools going to protect themselves for players that are still playing football? Playoffs are going on and a severe injury is always a possibility. Hope not, but it is going to happen.

The advantage for us is we get to see who is really committed to UNT. I think of the kid last year that verbal us then switch to Houston at the last minute! We should be able to stop this from happening under this structure!!

I am referring to holding a ship for a player that did not sign on the 20th. I think we move on. The 20th is really going to become Nat’l Signing day for the majority of the class. Blue shirts would be for the later date??

Can't hold a ship open hoping to get a guy unless you have a for sure backup player to sign. There is really no justification for the kid not to sign now!

There will be not one player we recruit that will know our defensive stats! As you know it is the bigger picture that will attract recruits. With the JC commits it looks like we are getting bigger at LB which is a step in the right direction.

So go to a 4-2 with 215lb linebackers? You have a system and out of that you may have 5-6 schemes for different offensive senaros. It comes down to recruiting players for your system that are highly regarded. Improve the talent!

Players know their assignments, usually they can’t execute because of size or speed. Look at the recruiting classes of FAU and Troy. We have to bring in better talent!! We need to make the 3 man front work, because like a lot of schools we have trouble recruiting DT!

If this guy is 195lb you put 10lbs of Quality weight he could also be a power guy at that height!

Team goal? Number 1 keep Fine healthy!! A winning record and a bowl game. I hate we are playing SMU our first game instead of our second. A big difference with FAU in 2018 is playing them in Texas and not the HUMIDITY of Florida.

I think we saw a little Freshman in Fine the last 2 games. This will make him better. To really develop lineman you have to red shirt and think outside the box. TE to OL and Qb’s to linebackers requires added strength, weight gain and extra practice. This is why a separate workout facility and a IPF is so important. Let’s get this done now and help keep the momentum going! We also need to become transfer u for the guys that want to move home. I would also like to see a new DC, a bigger linebacker in the mix and I look forward to a healthy English! Great write up Harry!!! GMG
