I seem to remember that Cedric started his first year of fall practice at NT as a running back. Maybe 6-2, 220 pounds.

My post was tongue in cheek, but in reality, as Oldtimer points out, my hope is that DeLoach is on to some heavy duty defensive tackles and doesn't want anyone to know who they are until signing day. Stealth-like.

Now, defensive player recruitment makes perfect sense under DeLoach. We are back to DD's "stealth recruiting" tactics, and that's fine with me.

I was cleaning out a closet at home and ran across an clipboard (wooden, of course) that I used in college. It has the old Scrappy decals on both upper corners of the board. Same Scrappy that Green P1 posted but in color. Always my favorite Scrappy.

Drake is gone...the job was just too much for him to enjoy. Why do I have this feeling that these HS coaches make North Texas a program on "training wheels".

(DeepGreen shaking his head) The talent level at the Superdome tonight is so obvious. North Texas is waaaaaay behind in talent and speed compared to So. Miss and Troy. Let's not forget that So. Miss was a 6-6 team.

Many of us are shocked that the football program doesn't have a football specific strength and conditioning coach. I would think that any football program worth their salt would have such a position. I can fault Dodge for many things, but having the right tools to be competitive is not one of them. This is FBS football. Don't compare our needs with a HS football program. SLC was just lucky they had money behind them.

So it's possible and highly likely that we will not have one mid-term JUCO defensive linemen coming to Denton. Excellent! Forget the fact that we need about 4-6 defensive linemen this recruiting class. We can't even get one JUCO!

Even though President Bush is hated by many for his policies, domestic or foreign, people here are O.K. with someone throwing an object at the President of the United States of America? An attempt hurt your President? Suppose the guy actually hit Bush with the heel of the shoe, maybe broke his nose, cut his face severely. Everyone here is O.K. with that? Although I don't care for the President In Waiting Obama, had this happened to him I would be outraged! To think some little two-bit sh!t of a journalist would try to harm the President of the United States, my President, whether I like him or not, is simply hard to fathom.

After approval by the Texas legislature, I would assume the next step is to have all detailed construction drawings completed, then go out for bid to general contractors who will actually build it. Low bid of course.

A noble suggestion but in our sports crazed society it'll never happen. Hell, the top schools have waiting list of fans who want to buy $75.00/game season tickets. And that's after they cough up mega moola for the PSL.
