  1. Anyone notice #89 almost caught Tobe? Our guy missed the block on him.
  2. And hasn't Steve Warren been used sparingly this season?
  3. ... she was seven days a week, balls to the wall. How can that be? Otherwise, great post, and dead on!
  4. SHSU Fee "The only university funding that the Bearkat sports programs receive comes from Student Services fees, which are currently $25 per semester credit hour, not to exceed $225." Prior to NT's athletic fee passage, wasn't UNT's student service fee only $3.00 per semester hour?
  5. While W has performed poorly on the domestic front for the past 8 years, I would still entrust him to protect my country and my freedoms before handing it over to Barack (Dumbo the Elephant*) Hussein Obama. *Reference is to Obama's ears. Full discloser from DeepGreen.
  6. You are so right. No wonder so many people want to make it to the highest level of public office. Senators, Congressmen, State Reps, etc.
  7. Exactly! Just use the WalMart model. Contract labor and an all part-time labor force. Even better, sell your company and say, "screw it".
  8. That has been going on in education for many years. It's called "the dumbing down of America".
  9. Is the Voy board still up and running? I miss being able to cuss on-line. Congratulations to Patrick Cobbs!
  10. Notice to All Employees As of November 5, 2008, when President Obama is officially elected into office, our company will instill a few new policies which are in keeping with his new, inspiring issues of change and fairness: 1. All salespeople will be pooling their sales bonuses into a common pool that will be divided equally between all of you. This will serve to give those of you who are underachieving a 'fair shake.' 2. All low level workers will be pooling their wages, including overtime, into a common pool, dividing it equally amongst yourselves. This will help those who are 'too busy for overtime' to reap the rewards from those who have more spare time and can work extra hours. 3. All top management will now be referred to as 'the government.' We will not participate in this 'pooling' experience because the law doesn't apply to us. 4. The 'government' will give eloquent speeches to all employees every week, encouraging its workers to continue to work hard 'for the good of all.' 5. The employees will be thrilled with these new policies because it's 'good to spread the wealth.' Those of you who have underachieved will finally get an opportunity; those of you who have worked hard and had success will feel more 'patriotic.' 6. The last few people who were hired should clean out their desks. Don't feel bad though, because President Obama will give you free healthcare, free handouts, free oil for heating your home, free food stamps, and he'll let you stay in your home for as long as you want even if you can't pay your mortgage. If you appeal directly to our democratic congress, you might even get a free flat screen TV and a coupon for free haircuts (shouldn't all Americans be entitled to nice looking hair?) !!! If for any reason you are not happy with the new policies, you may want to rethink your vote on November 4th.
  11. obama's policies are a serious threat to our country. Should he get in office, one of the first orders of business will be to cut back on our military spending. And I doubt old Barney Frank was talking about Iraq. He's talking about the military in general. Same crap that Clinton and his group pulled. I just happen to be a proponent of a strong military.
  12. Isn't that the way the obama camp is now taking care of news reporters asking the tough questions? Most recently was Biden's interview down in Florida. BTW, I used the lower case "o" in "his" first name on purpose. I refuse to capitilize his first, middle, or last name from now on, lose or win. The man is a serious threat to our country.
  13. I knew this would come in handy some day.
  14. We're 0-8 in football. 15 players just tested positive for drugs. We're ranked in the bottom 10 on ESPN. Countless national coverage on the drug issue. And RV roams the sidelines trying to play Jerry Jones. And we have a thread on uniforms??
  15. Local NBC station, KBTV of Beaumont will become an affiliate of the "fair and balanced" FOX Network. Christmas is coming early to SE Texas.
  16. Hard for liberals to understand. What is the highest "income tax" rate currently? 35% or more? 35% > than 0%. Capice?
  17. I just asked a couple of questions. Didn't mean to get your bowels in an uproar! Unless a they are a "not for profit" corporation, I would think that most corporations do, in fact, pay taxes. For the record, and because I work hard at my business and take all the risks, I'd prefer to keep the $900.00 that I made, rather than have the government take it from me and give it to some out of work "stiff". Maybe some day soon, under the devine guidance of the annointed one, America's private business will see the light, close their businesses, and wait for the government to take care of us.
  18. John Denver, do you actually own a business? Paid business income taxes; taxes on your inventory, unemployment taxes, etc., etc., etc.? Just curious.
  19. Baylor is hosting a golf tournament in Dallas and UNT is not participating. No invite in our own backyard. Should this bother me? BaylorGolf
  20. Not impressed with SMU, are you? You've come to the right place!
  21. With all due respect NMGreen, how does a new coach come in at Rice and install a new system in his first year and is somewhat successful?
  22. Doesn't make sense to me either. To have a couple of, and probably more, seasoned players/seniors riding the pine just makes no sense. I'm a Vizza fan, but let's face it, when he's off, why not put Meager in to try and shake things up a bit. Doesn't matter whether it's at QB, special teams, or at WR, get him in the game. He's a good athlete and a Senior. What the hell do we have to lose?
  23. I went over to the Troy board and they are streaming the game at no charge! It's a one game pass.
