  1. Wouldn't spread sets demand some different blocking schemes than a pro set? There are obviously gaps in a spread formation that you have to deal with.
  2. I think the ad just said it was the ESPN network's first televised game of the year. I would imagine that ABC or one of the other networks would have a marquee matchup to start the season.
  3. Why not? Even if he doesn't win the starting job, having a QB on the roster that KNOWS TD's system can only be an asset.
  4. Okay, tell me about the Democrats' brilliant strategy for winning the War on Terror. Run away, run away. Yes, some boneheaded mistakes have been made by the Bush administration, but the Democrats provide no hope at all. The only people they're willing to attack relentlessly are unborn children who can't defend themselves.
  5. Yes, it would be great to have one of those Democratic sissies in the White House who would further cripple our population by making them dependent on government aid, and give the U.N. veto power over any legislation that does not conform to European norms. Sounds great, Einstein.
  6. Good idea. Mack Brown would make a good assistant under Todd Dodge here at UNT.
  7. Nothing is settled until next February. If he goes to UT, I wish him all the best. But I would love to see him go to UNT, and we are definitely in the running.
  8. I was not a big fan of the Texas Stadium games. Opposing fans would outnumber us 3-1, it didn't feel like home to the UNT fans or players, and what we would effectively do is swap out a home game on our schedule for an away game. It will be great when we have our own stadium that can host marquee games like that.
  9. I thought Corbin Montgomery's "alias" was Corbin Epps.
  10. Right there with you - root for the Rangers, White Sox, and anyone playing the Yankees.
  11. Seems like I have read a few posters on this board who have told Riley Dodge, "Son, I already have a quarterback."
  12. I thought perhaps he was using the infinitive "to r's," South Dallas slang for "to runs."
  13. I've got to say that I'm with you on that. The hunter/forest green is much classier, I think.
  14. Obviously, who was playing in said events would be the determining factor; but in general I had to go with the College Football Championship.
  15. I have heard a number of comments that have spoken to the kind of man Todd Dodge is, and that means a lot. A great knowledge of X's and O's will usually only get you so far. When you earn the respect of your community, staff, players, and peers, that can create an atmosphere for true success of which some can only dream. Thanks for the post.
  16. I've got to say, that's one of the funniest posts I've ever read on this board!
  17. Thing is, Marty would still be with the Chargers if the Cowboys hadn't hired Phillips. The reason Marty was let go is because he and the G.M. were going at it again over whom they would bring in to be the new DC.
  18. I was about to comment that this bill would completely get rid of any August football practice, but I re-read it and saw that it was limited to 13 and under. That's a different story, and that's not a bad bill.
  19. Let's see...We at UNT need to "take a hit" regarding our recent coach selection, yet UNT is only good enough to be a stepping-stone for Dodge? If a writer is going to try to insult us, he should at least avoid contradicting himself in one paragraph.
  20. As long as he completes his career with class and dignity, his on-field accomplishments are already sufficient to lock him in to HOF.
