  1. Good stuff from Coach Gilbert when he was interviewed by CBS 11 about his transition to the college ranks. Check it out.
  2. Looks like a great addition to the program. Welcome Coach Gilbert! Let's go get some ballers
  3. Great road win! That 2nd half clamp down was awesome.
  4. STATS - https://gobearkats.com/sports/football/roster/kameryn-alexander/8399 HIGHLIGHT-
  5. Sound from UMass coach Frank Martin on Saturday's match up.
  6. Always have been a fan of the Triple Option. When run effectively, it's a fun offense to watch IMO and demoralizing for defenses that can't stop it. Troy Calhoun has done a great job with the Flexbone at Air Force. Back to Navy though, interesting article here about the firing. https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/35240443/niumatalolo-says-navy-fired-immediately-loss-army
  7. Lopes take the L tonight. Preseason WAC player of the year Jovan Blacksher missed his 2nd straight game with an injury.
  8. https://theathletic.com/3969294/2022/12/04/north-texas-fires-coach-seth-littrell/ Potential head coaching candidates This job will get a lot of interest because of its location, facilities and investment. Potential names to watch include former Virginia Tech head coach Justin Fuente, TCU offensive coordinator Garrett Riley and Washington State offensive coordinator Eric Morris. But it’s also notable that athletic director Wren Baker left for West Virginia last week.
  9. If someone showed up tomorrow and invested a billion dollars in the program, we'd be competing for a title in a few years or at the very least, we'd be a top tier, competitive program. Yes, I know that's a crazy example. Bottom line, we all know money rules the landscape. While I know it's alot more realistic that we'll have to settle for a retread or an up and comer, I'm holding out hope that somehow someway, the powers that be come up with the cash to land an established, proven coach. Do we have the resources to go after an A-list hire? The investment in our facilities tells me there's a genuine interest in seeing the university's athletic program continue to grow. Of course I know a big paycheck doesn't necessarily translate to success. We know that for sure! But you won't attract any true, A-list candidates if you're not willing to shell out some cash. Here's hoping UNT can dig deep to attract a game-changer! A man can dream right? GMG
  10. Add me to the list of those wishing Seth the best. Record aside, he always represented the university with class and by all accounts, he was also a good guy off the field. Wasn't personal, just business. On to the next chapter.
  11. Goes to the Texas college football team with the most Texans on the roster.
  12. Have zero idea if this is an option this week, but on the surface sounds like a great way to give some students a chance to attend. Wonder if any would take advantage if the school chartered a few busses.
  13. Hurts because as poorly as we looked on offense, we still had a chance at the end. Tough to swallow but 2 wins in 3 days is still a silver lining when we haven't had a whole time to gel in between injuries and the flu. Thankfully no one looked to be seriously hurt by that floor. Still glad we get tournament opportunities like this. On to the next.
  14. Tuned in on the app, waiting for tipoff. Let's goooo!
  15. Bit the bullet and paid the 30 bucks for the Flo stream. Thankfully had no issues with it. Seeing the good guys get the W definitely helped me to justify the purchase. (Haha) Definitely feel like the team took another step forward today. Looking forward to the next one! GMG
