  1. Just wanted to say how proud I am of this team. A great effort by everyone today to get the dub! I agree with some of the other comments I've seen. Let's enjoy this great ride. Game by game, these guys are giving us one heck of a season. GMG
  2. Some nice love on the mothership tonight. GMG!
  3. What a freaking awesome comeback! Got me jacked up! GMG
  4. Today's NET rankings (1/21) going into the Old Dominion game. UNT moved up 4 spots with last night's win.
  5. If any of the players are reading this, great job on getting those road dubs. Proud of you all! GMG
  6. Know it's early but was still nice to see this paired with our win tonight.
  7. Great way to start conference play. On to the next!
  8. I wonder if any of the other teams in the tournament would consider driving down to Denton if they were going to be traveling to the same general area of the country anyway.
  9. After yesterday's great win, we're up 23(!!) spots in today's rankings to #72. Only C-USA school higher is UAB at #50 BTW our next opponent Tulsa is at #215. https://www.ncaa.com/rankings/basketball-men/d1/ncaa-mens-basketball-net-rankings
  10. Great defensive showing in the 2nd half! Bartender, Jack! GMG
  11. 5-10, 185 pound DB Zahodri Jackson played in 35 games for Utah State and will have 1 year of eligibility left. Offered tonight.
  12. Didn't play their best but they got the job done. Rack up the W, on to the next. GMG
  13. Was just looking through various rankings today and we're up across the board. RPI 106 (Up 59 spots) NET 89 (Up 14 spots) BPI 108 (Up 9 spots)
  14. What a great way to end the regular season. Hat tip to Coach Littrell, the coaching staff, and every Mean Green player out there. Let's go bowling! GMG
  15. So we've got the closest road game (and one against our rival) on the schedule, and the Green Brigade won't be there? That's a bad beat. I get the COVID concern, but if North Texas is willing to have the full band together all day long in Denton, what's the difference with doing it in Dallas? On another note, maybe going forward, there should be something done to assure our band has the funding to support the team on the road. Ideally, they should be at /every/ game. We've got a terrific, award-winning band with talented musicians every year. Why wouldn't the university want to put them in the spotlight? I'm not saying it would be easy to figure out the logistics, but I know our team and fans would appreciate their support. I for one enjoy having the Green Brigade at home games.
  16. I've got absolutely no problem with Littrell naming co-starters for the first game. If one of them was head and shoulders above the rest, then I'd certainly hope the staff would be confident in going with one guy. It would be in their best interest (read: job security) to have a go-to-guy by now. The fact is neither QB has separated himself from the rest of the pack. There's nothing wrong with seeing how each QB does in Week 1 and let's be honest, having an FCS opponent out of the gate is the best-case scenario for seeing what each of the QB brings to the table in live-game action. Sorry, but scrimmages just aren't the real thing. The optimist in me thinks both guys have the talent to lead the offense, but in the end, their performance on the field should dictate who takes the reigns moving forward. Let's get some good work in Saturday and start the year 1-0! GMG
  17. Always room for improvement, but a tip of the cap to the guys for taking care of business. Hoping the good juju carries over to the next time out. Beat La Tech! GMG
  18. I've got a work commitment and won't be able to attend. Two seats in 209 with seat backs. First come, first serve. I'll mail the tickets to you. Just shoot me an address. Thank you, GMG
  19. Thanks for the heads up! Just ordered mine. With tax it came out to 75 bucks and there's free UPS ground shipping.
  20. "1: North Texas QB Mason Fine Stats: 3,793 yards, 64.6% completion, 27 TDs, 5 INTs; 2 rushing TDs Is this a lifetime achievement award for Fine? Maybe, but it's one that is well deserved."
