We seem to be open on that date. Any switcharoo we could do to get another home game? Indiana is a return game. Any creative way to do something there? Is the ink dry on the Nichols St game? Would it benefit us to get a winnable FBS game at Apogee vs paying an FCS? Put that $ in our pocket? I'm sure Colo St still wants to come to Texas.

One can look at La Tech as an example of what we DON'T want to happen to us next year. They lost a lot of starters and really struggled this year. However they not only broke in new players, they broke in a new coach. A new system and new players can be a painful combination unless you're a big program with talent to spare. That is why it is so important to keep this coaching staff and system in place. And also why I think if we do keep this staff in place (and this system) we'll be fine. The players coming up have played this year and have been in this system that will have been here for 3 years now. That can be a huge benefit. And I don't want to get into a DT debate but with our O Line coming back virtually intact, 2 solid RBs and the added wrinkle of a running QB, I think our offense may actually be better. I fully expect to compete for the conference title again next year.

Yeah, that was the game that Meager played himself out of a starting job. He only threw for 601 yards.

8-4 just looks so much better than 7-5. Besides the obvious, I Can't explain it. From an outsiders perspective looking at UNT, 8-4 just seems to put us on another level.

We're in trouble

Would like to figure out how to get our team prepared after a bye week like other staffs seem to be able to do with their teams. Seems their offensive gameplan is superior to our defensive gameplan at this point.

Harry, make no mistake.....I don't take ANY games for granted. And I'm certainly not taking this game for granted. I think we're the better team. And I think we should win this game. But am I nervous? Sure. I'm nervous about every game. And if we go out and play like crap and turn the ball over.....we'll lose. UTSA's product on the field is better than USM and UTEP. So sure, this game should be tougher than those. But they still shouldn't come in here and beat us.
