  1. I could care less about points. It's a win in my book if we have longer possession time.
  2. I heard a little differently. According to my sources he won't start, but see limited playing time.
  3. Guess we'll just have to take the SEC offer then.
  4. I just don't see UT and OU going for the PAC 12 long term, which I think is why OU is trying to keep the BIG 12 together.. There is just too much talent in this region to not have a conference that strictly focuses on TX/OK area. Of course I'm not saying you cant have the Kansas teams or a couple of other that may fit as well.
  5. Let's face it, SMU and TCU will probably never win the interest of most of the DFW area.
  6. I agree with you to a certain extent. Although it may be tough, I think over time many DFW residents would receive a "big-time", public university very well. TCU and SMU are not good examples of capturing the DFW market. Also, in my opinion the Big 12 needs to focus on making the TX/OK region stronger. That means creating more rivalries with either proven schools or high potential schools. Houston, North Texas, and UTEP would both be great additions and fit these requirements. Texas, Texas Tech, OU, OSU, North Texas, Houston, Kansas, Kansas State, Iowa State, Baylor, UTEP. Throw in a few others and I think you have a strong conference that can continue to build the Big 12.
  7. I was using their recent success and tv market as an example, not their size. If you are trying to make a point for SMU than you're not doing a good job. Maybe I should have used Boise State as the other example, but you probably wouldn't get it either way.
  8. I cannot stand this type of comment! Why does SMU have to move up in order for us to join a more successful conference? We need to position ourselves to leap over them and join a better conference than CUSA. Here's a thought. If for some reason the Big 12 does stay intact, maybe they look our direction in order to compete for the DFW market with TCU because I guarantee you they won't be able to compete by taking SMU. The truth is that the Big 12 is on life support and if they settle for SMU then they might as well wave the white flag and quit. They need to take a risk with a larger school that has potential to become the next TCU, Rutgers, etc.
  9. With Mizzou potentially gone, this could be very good!
  10. This brings up an similar idea. Instead of refusing to play all super-conference schools, what if we chose to only play the tier 2 schools within the super-conferences. This would still give us some winnable games, give tier 2 schools more winnable games, and be a big middle finger to the Alabama's, UT's, Floridas, etc.
  11. Just preaching to the choir here, but we better be taking our destiny into our own hands as opposed to putting our faith in Wright Waters. At the end of the day we need to take care of ourselves.
  12. I understand the logic behind this, but all the private schools just don't get me excited. Plus the recruiting front is going to change significantly once the superconferences come around. I agree there is a lot of talent between Texas and Florida, but I'm not sure there is that much. Just my .02.
  13. But Alabama went down in the top 25 poll. I guess we can take credit for that.
  14. Not going to say much about the dream to avoid jinxing it, but I will say that we weren't hanging our heads at the end of the game.
  15. Maybe it's juste, but I didn't think keenum was all that great. I think our secondary just wasn't quick enough. I noticed several time that keenum just lobbed the ball and the wide receivers ran that direction. Just my opinion.
  16. Here's a panoramic shot I took on my phone.

  19. Mean Green Insider Sorry if this was already posted. After watching this one, I couldn't help but notice big differences in this team. They continue to fight until the last second, they don't make excuses, and they come into each game expecting to win. I hope that mentality continues for the rest of the season. Side note: That Brelan Chancellor is one hell of a player. He has played a huge role in the success we've had so far and I look forward to watching him play week in and week out.
  20. I'm taunting the Houston fan wearing Aggie colors behind me. Classic.
  21. That one minute into the game I'm already about to get Into a fight with a Houston guy??!?
