The Stanley Cup playoffs are the best postseason anywhere. Ive gotten people hooked on hockey just by having the Stanley Cup Playoffs on in my dorm. Funny thing is, my roommate dosent even like sports. Yet the last time I talked to him, he was playing roller hockey.

Ahhhh, the anti hockey faction rears its face again. Some of you like to bash anything that isn't football or basketball. I guess its pointless to point out the fact that those are not the only sports out there. Some of us like things in addition to football or basketball. I know its probably a shock to you, but please have the respect of your fellow greenbloods to not sit their and bash their interests when it regards anything other than football or basketball.

I agree, but here is my problem. Some of us have very little extra money. If we are going to spend what little, hard-earned money we have to support this program and spend our entire Saturdays in Denton instead of having a second job, then we need to be garaunteed that we are going to continue to see improvement. If we have to sit through another season like this, I can see why some won't want to spend $350 to watch this again. They can spend $8 and sit in the cheap seats if they are die hard fans, or if they aren't, then they can spend the Saturday elsewhere and save money. To top that off, we have Athletic Department employees treating fans like crap (yes, Mr Clean is an employee of NT, not CSC) and we have hired stadium people starting fights with students, and trying to throw out some of our program's biggest supporters. Then we have assistant coaches threating fans. I plan to renew my season tickets, and I expect the die hards to as well. However, I can see some of those that don't bleed green like us not renewing, and I don't necessarily blame them.

But according to some, its ok, we just have to keep winning the Belt and thats all. And to others, dd has earned a "down" year because he's won the SBC title 4 years in a row. Facts: Even with the 4 SBC championships, he still has a losing record Only 7 OOC wins in 8 years, 2 of those were over D-1AA teams Loss to a first year program, and 2 losses to a program now in its 10th year. Yes, hes been voted the 4 time SBC coach of the year, by coaches worse than him, who can't manage to win the worst conference in the nation. This isnt a fire dd post, its a post saying we need someone to take us to the next step up, before we fall a few steps back down. But it really ok when you think about it. We beat MTSU at MTSU, who beat Vandy at home, and Vandy beat Tennessee in Tennessee.

Why does everyone who doesnt want to see dd back have to hear the "you're not a loyal fan" or "you are just a bandwagoner" argument? Why do they have to hear the "just wait till we get a new stadium, after 2k9" argument? Why do they have to listen to the "we're a young team" argument?
