  1. Emmitt had a great idea, and I think Im going to try this as well. If tortillas are soooooooooooooooooo dangerous like Mr Clean thinks they are, then Emmitt said he will no longer carry his weapon when on patrol. The next time he patrols, and the next time I go on duty, we are going to carry a holster full of tortillas on our duty belts. One other thing about the 2 incidents. The angels priorities are way out of whack. While everyone was taking Rick's side, a few of the angels said outloud that there was a game going on and we needed to pay attention and support the team. What the hell?! Do they not realize that the people in those sections are the donors to the program and have probably supported the program more than they have, or in some cases ever will? They have the gall to scold US? I saw some of them doing HOMEWORK during the Troy game. When flanny tried to assult Silver, one of them approached me to scold us on our behavior in front of the recruits. We find out later, that they made the comment to the extent of, "If we could get all of you to move down to the first couple of rows so we can create a good atmosphere for you, we want to create a BARRIER between you and the fans? That is complete BS! And they are so effing concerned about their precious "section" that they have pretty yellow tape around. God forbid ANYONE, including the Lord Jesus Christ himself, even put one foot in that section. They go completely ape s over it. I was moving back and forth during Rick's incident to get a better view, and I made the mistake of standing in their unfull section. When I was yelling at Mr Clean why he would try to throw me out, I didnt do anything illegal, one of those idiots yelled out, "But it is ILLEGAL to sit in our section, thank you!" They are more concerned that noone sit in the pretty little section than the actual game. They are so proud that they have pretty little yellow caution tape over it. The Talons can't even get their section roped off, yet they have done more for this university than the angels ever will. I know some of the Angels will read or hear about this, so let me make it clear, Its the actions of a FEW that are giving them a bad name. I am not saying that its the entire organization. And to those who want to protect their little section, here is an idea. YOU FILL IT WITH RECRUITS, THEN YOU WONT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT ANYONE SITTING IN THE HALF EMPTY SECTION!
  2. Probably because we were down by 14 at the half, they saw a coach who was trying to recruit them trying to assult a fan, and one of the biggest supporters of the program being temporarily removed for something as miniscule as tortillas. At least one recruit liked the passion of the alumni, from what I hear. I heard he was the only one who stayed.
  3. I put this in another thread, but I want to repost it so more will see it. Again, I know that some may take this as I have an ego, tooting my own horn, etc, but it needs to be said: I do want to point something out to everyone, even though I know some will take it as I have an ego. The people in the yellow shirts ARE NOT SECURITY. They have no formal training, nor do they hold any licensing from the State of Texas Private Security Board. Even though I don't plan on doing it for long, I am proud of what I do now, which IS security, for the courthouse. I do have formal training and I take my job very seriosuly. Its aholes like Mr Muscles that give real security officers a bad name. They have a false sense of empowerment, and believe that they hold the same powers of a peace officer. REAL security do not, as they understand their job is to assist peace officers, and they understand their powers and limitations within the law. I'm sorry to go off on the subject, it just bugs me. But the yellow shirts ARE NOT SECURITY!!!! Just want to be sure that all understand.
  4. You would also know what was coming, where, and how to stop it.
  5. We've DEFINETLY got your back brother. Mr Clean needs to unclench his youknowwhat and take a hike. I was hoping he was going to say something more to me when he passed us on the field. However, I have already sent an e-mail to the president/CEO of CSC about the actions of him and the other employees. If you like, I can tell you the e-mail address, Rick. You did NOTHING wrong tonight. It was that arrogant SOB that was after you.
  6. Im not sure if I should post the actual e-mail on here, but I just sent a rather lengthy e-mail regarding the situation(s) involving the event staff and our fans tonight, to the President/CEO of Contemporay Services Corp. We will see how it is handled and what comes of this.
  7. Yeah, but its almost 90 degrees in freaking NOVEMBER! I would love the opportunity to break out my custom NT jacket, this season. I have to do it at least once a year.
  8. As I said in a different post. Those ass clowns ARE NOT SECURITY. They continuosly make empty threats like that one above. You cannot make a comment like that without having reason to, and stating said reason. I may just take my handcuffs to the next game, and if one of them says that to me, reply, "your cuffs or mine buddy?"
  9. Coaches fighting with fans, one of the largest supporters being removed from the game temporarily, recruits leaving early...did anything go right for Mean Green football tonight???
  10. Hmmm, I didnt know Ron Jeremy was so short?
  11. This was unfreakingbelievable. Im sure I will post more about this when Rick does. The stadium nazis handled the situation the wrong way. Even IF Rick did throw them, there is a proper way to handle the situation and that is not it. I think the guy that was talking with Rick was wrongfully thrown in the middle of everything, but he could have gone about it better. And it was not mild chaos, a near Paris-like situation is a more accurrate description. the 3 middle sections were FURIOUS with the event staff. I think Mr Muscles just has it out against Rick, and the group I am in, which is the same group as ladygreen. I was yelling at him, but was not using obcenities, obscene gestures, nor did I make and verbal threats, or show any intent to arm. Yet, steriod boy asks if I want to be next. I ask for what, but of course he could not answer. That steriod loaded POS needs to unclench is ass and take a hike. We definetly traded glares throughout the second half. I do want to point something out to everyone, even though I know some will take it as I have an ego. The people in the yellow shirts ARE NOT SECURITY. They have no formal training, nor do they hold any licensing from the State of Texas Private Security Board. 12. Think about the stands in "Necessary Roughness" and you will have your answer. Talons, get started advertising the last two home games, N O W!!!!
  13. I saw a few players staying for the alma mattar. But I saw several walking toward the tunnel. Something stopped them and made them return to the field for the school song. Whoever it was, I thank them for that.
  14. I woulnt exactly say that the language spoken by that dude in The Waterboy was English. Hell, at least our mayors and governor don't completely forget about the residents until it is too late, then try to blame others instead of getting off their asses and doing something useful.
  15. SOS, different year. I do hate to hear about a possible reduction in height, though. Talons are safe and police themselves well. And as for watching it afterward, we do that EVERY year, until it has burned out completely, well after everyone else has gone to bed.
  16. lets see, I have a ball signed from last years team. I think its a game ball, but Im not sure if it was used. My Booger bobblehead, I have a photo of myself and RV from 2 NOB's, 2 photos of myself and Dr Pohl from 2 NOB's, and a photo of myself and Dr Pohl on graduation day with me in my cap and gown. Just a side note, how many other presidents would stand there and pose for pictures with graduates and their families, or stand there and talk with them on graduation day? Dr Pohl did this when I graduated, even though he had to have been tired, busy, and at times not even feeling like being there. Yet, he was there, and with a SMILE on his face. That impressed me, and it made a H U G E impression on my dad. When I told him Dr Pohl was leaving, It disappointed my dad, because that day Pohl made that big of an impression him. Just my .02
  17. I know that was the year we almost went to the Inhumanitarian Bowl.
  18. Happy Halloween, wish I had a little time to celebrate. Hapy birthday RG
  19. I was disappointed becuase I know that this was a makeable trip for us die hard greenbloods. I know there were probably many reason, thus I was not calling anyone out or scolding anyone. I was just disappointed because we did not have a larger showing.
  20. Debbie, get a grip. I was not going off on anyone. I was merely pointing out the reason that most people, including the one that you stated to me, was not as bad as people made it seem. Furthermore, I said i was disappointed that we didnt have more turn out. I did not say they were bad fans, or that I was a better fan than you.
  21. I know that there were probably a number of reasons, but the one I listed was the one that most people replied with when I asked if they were going. I was not trying to scold anyone or call anyone out. I apologize if it came out that way.
  22. Then you must not read or pay attention to my posts. I hate seeing crap like what you just talked about. But we go to games for more than just to see us win, we go to support our school.
  23. It was the reason most expressed to me by other NT fans.
  24. I got in about an hour before kickoff, so I didnt have time to tailgate. However, I didnt run into any of that famed hostile environment. Had a couple of conversations with LSU fans. Most were at least indifferent to me walking past them, a few were friendly. Seats were 50yd line right behind the team. Awesome stadium, which makes me look forward to getting our new one. The team showed MAJOR improvment last night. I think the score makes the game seem more lopsided that it actually was. It was only 28-3 at the half, and they didnt start piling on the points until after we had a couple of drives stopped in the redzone, one of those on the LSU 1. I don't think it was as much the coaches gameplan as it was that the players may be starting to come around. Probably the funniest thing all night was when practically EVERY ref on the field threw their flags at the spot where JQ got horsecollared. Don't think Ive ever seen that, much less the authority and force the flags were thrown with. The thing that I am most disappointed in is the lack of showing by the NT faithfull. I know alot were scared off by the hostile environment rumors. Even if it were true, so the hell what? There are tons of law enforcement inside, so you would be safe. If you get a beer thrown on you, bring an extra pair of clothes. I really don't see the reason for lack of fans there. Even if they want to taunt us, so what? We've had to put up with taunts from schools like SMU, Texas, and Oklahoma, we should be able to handle it from LSU fans. Im not on here to call anyone out about not going, I just want to point out that I don't think its as bad as everyone thought. I may even go back to watch them play someone else sometime. But now that we know the "eat your young" rumors arent true, we will have a bigger showing there next time. I may even have a few local LSU alums coming to visit Fouts this season. I just want to let eveyone know that Louisiana hospitality does extend into Baton Rouge.
