  1. Got stuck on entrance behind a big truck who very clearly had no idea that it was a pay lot. After some extended conversation, we got to wait for this behemoth of a vehicle to make a u-turn in a tiny spot. Once in, it took me a minute to find a spot, but that didn't bother me. I was just pleasantly surprised that I couldn't do donuts in the blue lot two hours before kickoff. We hauled ass out of the stadium once the field goal was blocked, and only had one rude guy (LA Tech Plates) cut us off on exit. It otherwise went smoothly. I think everything else crowd wise went great. No issues in the stadium at all. (And we kinda sorta accidentally got in the stadium without tickets scanned, so that was interesting. We got them scanned later though, so no worries. It counted.)
  2. Line opens with us as 25 1/2 point favorites -3238 money line. So let's get back to winning!
  3. The reality of the situation: ESPN puts us in whatever the hell the Heart of Dallas Bowl is called these days because they know that 40,000 of us will show up at 4 o'clock on a Tuesday morning, and throws in whatever the hell opponent they feel like who has nowhere else to go, doesn't travel, and doesn't bring in TV revenue. ESPN uses the situation to further extort the City of Dallas for exorbitant payments going forward. It's a G5 world -- 15-0 or GTFO. We just GTFO'd.
  4. So it looks like the hill and blue lot stay as is and they build a new tailgating area over where the current softball and soccer field are? Interesting. I wonder how that will be tiered/priced out. I like downsizing the basketball arena. I know we have our affections to the pit, but it so often seems cavernous and dark in there. The natatorium intrigues me. Somebody above mentioned a five-line Bonnie Brae. Where is that in this plan, because I don't see it, and it really needs to happen. ========================================================================================================== Also, baseball stadium. HAHAHAHAHALOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!!NEVERGONNAHAPPEN!!!!LOLOLOLOHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!! /rant
  5. Ruston is one of my favorite road trips. Glad some good folk in Denton were able to return the hospitality.
  6. Maybe he's gonna open up the playbook and run up the middle slightly six inches to the left.
  7. I stayed quiet over the weekend because I was pretty frustrated about the whole debacle, but I agree with @emmitt01 that if any of us had been asked a year ago about how we'd feel about the situation we're in now, we'd be pretty excited about it. I can't put this game on the kicker, though I admit I sorely missed Trevor Moore. If he were still on the roster, this game was a W, but it's not fair to put the mistakes made by the team after somebody apparently put a giant cup of stupid in the Gatorade dispensers in the 2nd quarter on the kicker. I'm mostly frustrated that I think the division is lost to us, and the prospects (slim as they were anyway) of a NY6 bowl are completely gone. So I'm left not sure where this team should have its goals set for the remainder of the season. Maybe the 10 win mark? That would be nice, but we'd still have to nearly run the table with possible hurdles in Southern Miss, UAB, UTSA, and FAU. Tough road ahead. We'll surely go bowling, but once there's a loss, what's the difference between one early December Tuesday morning bowl and another? When this cooler head prevails, I have to admit that I expected too much too soon. This team is lights out better than last year, we're making progress, and I can't believe for one second that Littrell and company are going to stagger into UTEP with a hangover and screw it all up even more. Whether people want to call gloom, doom, and end of days or not, I had at least twenty people come up to me on Saturday and ask what my Cherokee UNT shirt meant. Most of them were either first time attendees, or hadn't attended a game in this century. I got to tell them about Mason Fine and other P5 schools who wish they had him right now. It may not have been his best night of production, but damn if he didn't show a hell of a warrior fight throughout the game, playing to the crowd, and never giving up. We got to showcase a new UNT mentality even in loss, and I'm proud of that.
  8. I the pinned picture up top, it says to collect your Mean Joe giveaway at the gate. What are they giving away?
  9. The "with cheese" was a nod in your general direction as I know that was your nickname for it.
  10. See what happens when you demolish the Royale with Cheese Inn and Suites? Now there are no rooms!
  11. Is it because it's in black and white that I don't see the track in Fouts or was it not installed yet?
  12. There have been years where you couldn't do that. I had a blue pass, and that entrance would either be outright closed or they would tell me it was for red passes. As to the latter, I would just blow right past them. I tried it on the second game this year because getting into the Bonnie Brae entrance at the SMU game was horrendous. I was delighted to see it open and functioning again.
  13. OK. I'll plan accordingly because I'm sure there will be some delays. That section is always slow regardless of shutdowns. Thanks for the heads up.
  14. Where is this exactly? 35e at 288/Lillian Miller?
  15. I really am sorry if my remarks seem to be upsetting you. No harm intended. Just thoughts.
  16. Those situations are reserved for post game fireworks of shame.
  17. Half kidding, half not. Those unsportsmanlike flags can be a fickle beast. I'm not sure what the current NCAA rules are, but something clearly rehearsed like a statue pose seems like it would be an invitation.
  18. I think Ed O'Bannon had a legit case back in the nineties where UCLA was making millions off his image and name. He's an extreme outlier. Perhaps they should put in some kind of marketing royalty for stuff like that, but flat out payroll a la 1980s SMU? Nah.
  19. Would no doubt draw a flag, so probably should avoid such things.
  20. Given the description of the featured image in the footnote, they may have well used this instead:
  21. Remember when we had one set of home unis and one set of road unis? Pepperidge Farm remembers.
  22. This is such an honor for him. He's going to remember this for the rest of his days. Hope he gets some good pictures that he can frame along with the jersey signed by Joe.
  23. I got this. If helmet stickers ever come back in vogue, those for defensive players should be the number 75.
  24. They definitely sold the helmets last time we had the throw backs with the flying worm. They were in the neighborhood of $350 if I recall correctly.
