What was our average last year? Attendance does tend to pick up during conference play, and we have had a very weak home schedule so far.

These games are part of the Sun Belt Classic in Nashville.

I hope they leave the tournament the way it is. It is the best sporting event going and should have no changes to the format. I am OK with TV network changes, say ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, and ESPNU each televising a game. That would be awesome!

Might as well drop the basketball program completely if we can't go 4-0 on this homestand.

A few of us are meeting at Buffalo Wild Wings in north Irving at 635 and MacArthur to watch the game if anyone else wants to join.

Tramiel rolled his ankle in practice yesterday. JJ said that he would have been out there for a conference game, but decided to sit out today to rest it. JJ said he is expecting to practice tomorrow to get ready for Rice.

Actually, it was probably just my Backstreet Boys CD playing in the background. I thought I paused it for the game, but I guess not.

Official attendance was 1,677. More than I expected. When listening to the game, I thought I was at a Backstreet Boys concert.

You don't have to wait long. The home conference opener in Dec. 13 this year vs. Louisiana-Monroe.

In a perfect world, we would schedule these types of games when we could get the best attendance, but it has to work around both schedules, so you get what you get. Either way, these are great home-and-home series and I hope to see more like this.

Just an FYI for anyone that is planning on making the trip to Hot Springs for the Sun Belt Basketball Tournament: The men's team is staying at the Austin again, which is literally right next to the arena. I got a room there; I told them I was a North Texas fan and they gave me the same rate that the team is paying, which I believe was $85 a night. Anybody else making the trip for the tourney? Where are you staying?

My bride and I will be there as well tailgating strong starting at 8 AM!!! We should have about 20+ in our group by the time gametime rolls around.
