  1. New Orleans is a very fun place to go for a bowl game. I'll take any bowl game this season though.
  2. I joined the Mean Green Club for the first time this past summer. In order to head on to the Hospitality Deck, do you need some kind of pass or something? I haven't received anything in the mail.
  3. You should have thought of that before you put "Greek" in your name.
  4. I'll be watching at Fox & Hound in Lewisville.
  5. Agree. Fios is great! Fios does carry ESPNU in HD on Ch. 573. Ch. 73 is the non-HD version. According to this site, which is the best site for a full listing of TV games in my opinion, the game will be in HD: http://www.lsufootball.net/tvschedule.htm
  6. I will absolutely be purchasing these for tailgating. Is it only available in Denton?
  7. Finals start on Dec. 12th. I'm guessing that has something to do with that game being on Sunday.
  8. Does anyone know what our record average attendance is?
  9. They also have our schedule wrong. The game on Sept. 26 is in Denton, not away like the schedule indicates here. Also, did anyone notice they have Troy nationally ranked at #23?
  10. The schedule is now updated on MeanGreenSports.com http://www.meangreensports.com/SportSelect...&SPSID=9052
  11. Just terrible news. It's so sad when things like this happen.
  12. I found myself yelling at the TV and cheering loudly for WKU this year during their tourney run. Everyone I met from WKU at the Sun Belt Tourney was a class-act and great to talk to. Thanks for representing the Belt well in the tourney the last two years. As a conference, we need to work to get more teams in the tournament and win games when we get there. We all need to win OOC games early in the season against quality opponents to do it.
  13. I think that this is a very good schedule. I'm very excited about having 6 home games. I'm with KRAM1: The Halloween game needs to be an early start, say around 1. I went to a Halloween night game when I was in school and the stadium was pretty empty. I think an afternoon game is best here. It's late October anyway, and it can be pretty chilly in the evenings. I'm also a little disappointed in the Oct. 17 choice for Homecoming. Although I think this is the best choice based on our schedule, it is also the day of UT/OU. I know, I know. It shouldn't matter, and I agree, it shouldn't. The problem is that is does matter. I like to look on the bright side of things, so, since I hate both teams, I have even more reason to root for them each to lose a game or two going in to this matchup so less people will care about it. Homeceoming is always the best tailgate party and student involvement, although Army may top it this year. Overall, a great schedule. See you at Fouts in 2009!
  14. Didn't CBS just sign a new contract that keeps the tournament on CBS for another 7-10 years or so?
  15. I thought he could be a little over the top from time to time, but overall, I liked him. I'd like to see him back next year.
  16. That's good to hear. As I stated before, I think they did a great job with this tournament and would love to see what they'll have in 2010. I'm sure they can learn from their own mistakes and make it even better next year. All UNT fans should really pull for this tournament to be in Hot Springs every year as CMJ stated. It is definately the best location for Mean Green fans to attend.
  17. KAjunRaider - I'm sure you are right. I stayed in our section for the whole game. From my view, it looked like we had more. Overall, I think both teams did a great job of going to see their team play.
  18. I like the dates on this schedule. 6 home games, and no home game the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Although it does look like 10/17 is the best fit, I'd rather have the ULM game on 9/26. Regardless of how much we all hate it, the UT/OU game is on Oct. 17th and could affect our attendance and tailgating atmosphere. I don't like a home game on Halloween night though. I remember going to one in college, and attendance was terrible. Maybe we should play an afternoon game for this one?
  19. MTSU had quite a few fans there for the women. They seemed to have less for the men's quarterfinals than for the women's semis and championship.
