  1. Yes JD, please violate the United States HIPAA Laws to satisy our medling curiosity. (sarcasm)
  2. Absolutely. Creative and fun designs need to be made utilizing our school colors. We're inclusive to all types at North Texas and some aren't such rabid sports fans as people on this board. My daughter would probably like that shirt, maybe not for gameday, but just as a fun North Texas shirt. When it comes to spirit gear, the worst green shirt is still better than the best gray or black shirt. And yes, I was embarrassed for President Smatresk when he showed up in Las Vegas wearing a generic black shirt. Sadly, his attire looked like shit and he knows better. When it comes to gameday, it's Green or it's wrong.
  3. Voertmans cares about the university the same way a tick cares about a cow. It's strictly a parasitic relationship. Let me know when the relationship becomes symbiotic and I will gladly give Voertmans credit. Until then you will continue to see Voertmans setting up stands at athletic events and not selling hardly anything. It's their sad business strategy with fan gear and accessories and its not beneficial to the university or the store. "Here's Arnold, and Here's Arnold's rug. Arnold doesn't offer a rug that people would want because people would buy the rug and Arnold would no longer have a rug to sell." Voertmans sucks only because Voertmans chooses to suck. It's not that the fans are cheap or that demand is low, it's that Voertmans continually markets what's easiest to procure and not what customers want. Every one of the above item would be selling quickly if they were available in North Texas in our colors. Yet Voertmans will display and repack this same unwanted crap at games in perpetuity. And it's why stores like Rally House which only carry only a limited North Texas assortment are kicking their asses. Sorry if the truth hurts their feelings, but its 100% their choice.
  4. Not defending your stalker, but I too don't think FAU did everything possible to protect that large lead. Both squads tonight had better/deeper rosters than North Texas but we would have preserved enough of that 14 point lead to win the game. SDSU should have been forced to foul as time expired.
  5. Tonight FAU figured out why Tylor Perry is the league MVP. There's no way in hell that he would have lost that lead. SDSU would have been forced to start fouling.
  6. He has earned one so I hope he gets one. He is a big part of the legacy of this glorious season. But, I too wish he had been available for the last three games.
  7. Either way I am grateful to him. He was a highly regarded center out of Queens, NY. He stayed committed to Rhode Island until they pulled his offer to make room for the 5* twin 7 footers transferring from Rutgers. North Texas had been recruiting him, and he then committed to UNT. He held his UNT commitment firm even when Rick Pitino of nearby Iona was in his family's house making his pitch to Abou and his family. Abou held his commitment, signed with North Texas, worked his tail off to get in his best possible shape, studied Zach's game, and gave us three incredible years. If he needs to go home for family issues, if he's transferring closer to home, or if he just needs a change of scenery, it doesn't matter. I wish he had stayed through the NIT, but I wish him nothing but the best wherever he winds up, because I know we never would have reached this level of success without him and his contributions. To paraphrase the UMass coach last year, "Big men that can move like that are rare as hen's teeth. "
  8. He came to North Texas and accomplished more for us than we ever could have expected. He has been incredible and he has exceeded his/our goals. Now I fully expect him to treat the Texas Tech fans with every bit of enthusiasm that he has shown us all these years. He needs to make that splash hire as impactful as possible, and that means announcing it and promoting his new program as much as possible right now. He's entitled to advance his career (that's how we got him) , and he didn't walk out like so many other coaches have done before. He waited until the last basket was made and the nets were cut down. Best of luck to Coach McCasland at Texas Tech. Maybe ESPN will start calling you by the correct name now... But it's still better than their Tony Denton.
  9. The two tailgate parties at the NIT were incredible. They made us THE Big Time school at these Final Four events. The Tuesday outdoor cookout was incredible. It was fun comparing our tailgate party with a huge school like Wisconsin, especially that our was so much better planned. The North Texas fans were cheering as our team busses arrived and the Badgers arrived to no fanfare. The funniest part that made the parties no comparison was that the Wisconsin delegation forgot to provide beer and they all had to come to our refreshment trailer. The Thursday tailgate was even better because it was inside the arena along the east concourse behind our North Texas sections. The dinner selections were outstanding, with several entrees to chose from, and a great desert assortment. Absolutely FIRST CLASS for a college game tailgate. But the best part was that it was open and inclusive of ALL North Texas fans. A special thanks to Kevin Fralicks, Kasey Kamenicky, Chris Watson, and their alumni association staff, President Neal Smatresk, Athletic Director Jared Mosley, and the fabulous North Texas Dance Team. You guys and girls put together an excellent party and rally that certainly outdid all the others. Absolutely Outstanding!!! Way To Go Mean Green!!!
  10. So, by today, they haven't started working on a design? Typical. But we're only North Texas fans, so we accept it.
  11. If I could get them to care, then yes, I would agree. They don't. They will underperform and price gouge. It's just their nature.
  12. No, it's about time other fans start caring about our school as well. Yes, black shirts are easier to find but they are not our school color. Sometimes the laziest way is not always the best option. Why are we supposed to tolerate these kind of f*-ups? No other school would. .
  13. I would love to see Voertmans improve. I don't have faith in it happening, but I'd love to see it. Their shirt will probably be of lessor quality, poorer design, cost more, have limited quantity on adult sizes, and not be available until weeks after the event.
  14. Due to wind, the tailgate party has been moved inside the arena to the EAST SIDE Concourse directly behind the North Texas Section.
  15. I remember Grant playing against North Texas during the 1998-1999 season. He was the little guy at the end of the bench that the Bear fans cheered for emphatically when he scored at the end of the game. Baylor won that game, but with an awful lot of help from officiating.
  16. They are not a package deal. The law is written that both must be provided the option, but one may decline. So, the Big XII must extend invitations to both, but ASU is able to decline and stay with the PAC. That probably will not happen. Every school is fearful of being stuck in the PAC with MWC schools when/if additional PAC schools join the BIG 10,
  17. It's not easy, but do you really not want to try? Rooms at Orleans can be had for $75 per night.
  18. I don't know how much of the NCAA money FAU will get. The $8 million earned from their Final Four appearance goes directly to CUSA to be distributed to member schools AFTER FAU (and the other 5) have left.
  19. Kelly Green is Irish Green. The tee shirts are offered online in our school colors.
  20. Welcome aboard coach. I saw that your teams wore their school colors for every game. The North Texas school colors are green and white, and there are no others. Please show North Texas the same courtesy and same loyalty you had for your previous employer and dress our teams only in our own school colors.
  21. I think the world of Quincy and am certain this is not any type of vendetta against North Texas. Quincy has already graduated (with honors) with a Radio and Television Broadcasting Technology degree and needs to be wherever is best for her post-grad courses. She is loyal to North Texas and started attending North Texas Collin County alumni events this past year when she graduated. She has been an incredible ambassador for our university, and I hope for nothing but the absolute best for her wherever she goes, and I look forward to when she returns in the future for Alumni, Letterwinners, and Hall of Fame activities. Best of luck Quincy, we will be cheering for you wherever you play for your final year of eligibility. You've been nothing short of amazing while you've been here. Thank you, and, we love you.
