Glad you have never made an error, Jesus. To your other point, making an educated guess this was an arrest after an investigation. And if I was arrested for improper conduct and still worked at UNT I would not expect to hang on to my job long. My point is that for it to get this far, this has legs and not a simple accusation as you use in your hypothetical. No matter the outcome in the justice system, UNT doesn’t need the bad PR from this. Maybe you think that is unfair to the guy and maybe it is or isn’t. It is just my opinion that we are not in a position to wait one or two years for a trial to make a decision on whether or not this is someone we want to retain. Can’t talk about family all the time and then have this guy’s legal battle hanging over the program. Coaches - and people in various professions - get fired for various reasons unrelated to job performance all the time.

Tough to read much into game 1 - especially this year. But I am ok with SoMiss having a down year.

I don’t know what you do for a living but in many jobs the accusation would be enough to get you fired. Working at a university with students isn’t a right, it is a privilege. This isn’t an “accusation” as some have said it is an arrest. An arrest that occurred after an investigation (as opposed to inflagrante delicto). Guilt and innocence are legal terms that are unrelated to whether or not someone committed a crime. But in the court of public opinion UNT cannot afford to stand behind this guy. We are not Baylor or SMUt.
