No one watched the PAC when it had the so called big schools. By the time the PAC comes on at night many people are burned out on football after watching it from 11:am. People are either partying or going to bed. Adding the best of the MWC isn’t going to somehow miraculous awe the networks into offering some upgraded TV deal. Ain’t going to happen.

I was thinking the very same thing. Very well might happen.

Until we show we care by filling our venues, we can have an enrollment of 75,000 and the world would not notice.

What if Aresco agrees to rebuild the PAC. He takes a few schools from AAC and a few from the MWC. 🫤

Nice to hear about the up and coming upgrade in facilities after this season. But! Please, please if part of that upgrade includes a new End Zone Facility don’t embarrass all of us by constructing some hideous looking structure. If that can’t be done then don’t build one at all. For once let’s make it classy. Something we can all be proud of and one that makes others envious of us for a change.

Well if the ACC loses members do they backfill with East Carolina, USF, Navy further wiping out the AAC. Then the AAC backfills with LaTech, Arkansas St, Texas State, Louisiana Laf, Georgia Southern, Appalachian St. Any way you look at it, it’s not good for UNT.

If the PAC implodes, losing to many of their members they will just cherry pick the best from the MWC and AAC and create a West and East division to reduce travel expenses. It may not immediately garnish acceptance as a so called P5 but it will move it into the top of the so called G5 while eliminating a conference as the leftovers merge into the Sun Belt 3. That’s where we will land. Eventually the new PAC will inch it’s way to a place at the P5 table.

Fresno, SDSU, Boise, UNLV and Colorado St make sense

How many spots are available? It sure seems like bad logistics for some of the schools making application. I guess if they take all those applying it might work out from a logistics standpoint.

Not the type of games that are likely to help you qualify for the playoffs should it come down to strength of schedule. Oh well. We are North Texas.

With inflation at all time highs, a myriad of social issues world wide is it possible that football might become obsolete as people move to other venues for entertainment? Or could it be just the opposite as people flock to the stadiums looking for some sort of resemblance of the past when everything seemed easier and less complicated?

The Wing is a stupid and careless design. Period! Most of the seats in the wing are too far from the bathrooms and concessions. It’s a grueling climb up or down and you miss a lot of the game after making the trip. Most of those seats are not Fan Friendly. They’re just wasted space. Whoever was on the design committee did us no favors. Period.

We struggled with attendance when things were good. We now have an economy that is literally hurting a lot of people. It’s going to take some incredible marketing, tremendous effort and possibly divine intervention to put people in the seats in these uncertain times.

Never ever should have been considered.

We had one chance and in my humble opinion we blew it. I remember being overjoyed when I first heard the news we were finally getting a new stadium. Then I saw the drawings. No way!! Certainly there has been a terrible mistake. Someone tell me this is a bad joke. What the hell is that gaudy, tasteless looking endzone structure. Why!!! Why can’t we just be normal!! Why the freaking hideous looking gimmick? Why couldn’t we just make a bowl? Or leave that end zone open and put a real upper deck with concessions on the student side? Only at North Texas. We deserve the stadium ranking we received. Even the elevation is plain and boring. In fact it looks like a 1960’s office building. Thank you RV. note: yes it is better than Fouts.

I guess discussing recruiting, the Portal and NIL is a good way to spend time before the season starts. But as I look around with what’s going on in the world today, let alone our own nation, I hope, but wonder if there will even be a season. 🧐
