  1. Replay clearly shows our catcher tagging their runner before she could touch home plate. To not overrule that call shows a lack of integrity on the part of these officials and CUSA. Bush league.
  2. Shorter is a great player but injury prone. It seemed like one never knew if was playing on Saturday.
  3. But we have the Super Pit and not a high school arena. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the Super Pit that warrants moving our basketball games to an off campus venue.
  4. I heard someone mention that we should raze the PEB and the Men’s Gym and build a new basketball arena right there between the Pohl Rec Center and the Super Pit. Right on campus and next to parking at old Fouts. Makes sense to me.
  5. You know the very first words out of Coach Jones mouth during the post game interview was always, “I want to thank the fans”. And that’s when there were maybe 250 fans at the game. We went to every home game and the next morning I always checked the box score in the newspaper for the attendance. I watch it slowly climb..365, 480, 650, 701, 1,011, 1,234 with coach Jones always, and I mean always starting every post game interview with, “First I want to thank the fans” I watched it climb to around an average of maybe 4,500 and an atmosphere that was second to none. Some of you know exactly what I’m talking about. But Coach Jones sincerely appreciated the fans even when there were very few in his early years. He never had to be prompted to thank the fans. You know, I still miss Johnny Jones. Those were some special times.
  6. Would have been really nice had this been posted the first thing this morning before the sunrise and before the video of him donning Red and boarding a plane to Lubbock. But it reminds me of the time early in his career here when during a post game interview Hank tried his best to get Grant to thank the fans. Hank did ever thing he could but Grant didn’t take the hints until Hank finally just said to Grant, “And I’m sure you want to thank the fans”, to which Grant said,”Oh yes, thank you to the fans for coming out to support us” I appreciate everything Grant did for UNT. He did more than anyone before him I wish him nothing but the best
  7. I am not disappointed in him leaving. I am disappointed in his lack of courtesy to a University and a fan base, though small, that stood with him for six years by exiting so fast he couldn’t even wait 24 hours after winning a championship before slamming the door in their faces.
  8. I’m not disappointed at all. And I sincerely appreciate what he accomplished at North Texas. And I sincerely wish him the best. Just think he could have waited until their press conference to show his excitement. It hasn’t even been 24 hours since winning the NIT.
  9. The team just won a National Title. They’ve all worked hard for a long time. There are some fans, not many that really cared about the team and the school. He could have waited until he got to Lubbock and their press conference instead of acting as if he couldn’t get away from UNT fast enough. Classless. He might have a better record than Johnny Jones but he ain’t no Johnny Jones. That man has class! McClasland, not so much in my book. Not anymore.
  10. Good grief. I think he had us all fooled. He wasn’t who we thought he was.
  11. Yeah, I have to agree. He could have waited a few days. This certainly changes my thoughts about him. That was pretty classless. Certainly shows he was never really one of us. It was all show. All about McCasland.
  12. Not true. Grant didn’t take the SMU position because he has too much class to go to a school that most consider an arch rival. He didn’t do that out of respect for the University of North Texas. Grant is a class act.
  13. Yes he is gone but he is leaving Coach Hodge to carry on. We are very fortunate.
  14. Listen, this University, the students and the alumni did not support Coach McCasland in a way he deserved. He deserved so much more. We were very fortunate to have him at North Texas for as long as we did. Now let’s get behind Coach Hodge and give him the support and backing this coaching staff deserves.
  15. Ok. So what you’re really saying is….oh, I so hope they don’t try or that they should even believe for second it could happen at UNT. Listen, thank you for being honest and for clarifying your position.
  16. Look. Just because Houston and some quality programs have never won a National Title doesn’t mean UNT can’t. It seems you are trying more to persuade us from even trying and deep down hoping we never do.
  17. Read my post again. I clearly stated we would need a few more gifted basketball players to jump on board with a proven head coach. Right?
  18. And Coach MacCasland has already invested 6 years of a decade and we are now getting known on the national stage. It doesn’t take decades. It takes a coach who proves to young athletes that he knows what he’s doing and the consistency and record to back it up. Coach McCasland has done just that. We only need a few more gifted basketball players, not decades, to jump on board with a proven Coach to take this program to a National Title. Think small, be small. Think big, be big
