The Key to the season is the first possestion of the game on Offense and Defense.. I think we will be able to see alot in that. Need a long sustained drive on offense, and a strond defensive stand on defense. Have to build confidence for the rest of the game.

McGuffie was granted his release by the university, the Web site wolverines.com reported Friday. The report was confirmed by The Detroit News. McGuffie was a noticeable no-show at last week's annual football bust. Advertisement McGuffie, who is from Texas, is expected to enroll in a school closer to home. If he signs with a Division I school, he will have to sit out one year but will have three years of eligibility remaining. He was bothered at times by injuries this past season. When asked about McGuffie's status last week, Rodriguez said: "I've talked to Sam before the (Thanksgiving) break and after the break. We have several concerns. Sam has concerns at home, and we have concerns because he's had multiple concussions, three of them, so there's a lot of concerns there." "I don't want to talk anything medically, because I'm not qualified, but it is something that the trainers and I have talked about and are concerned about. That's for his future, wherever he may be."

I give Dodge one more year, and he better show great progress. His first recruiting class will be juniors, and he will have a majority of players that he recruited. If he has this type of season next year he has to go.

I say that everyone on this board should send in 10, 20 what ever you can afford, to the stadium fund, if every member did that on monday, It would show the alumni, students are behind this, I alread sent in money dedicated to this. if it never gets built then they have to give it back to you..

I said for the last few years they should have had a table with a model of the new stadium, and accepted donations each game day.. I bet most people would drop 1-20 $ in and at 5 games a year, the money would add up. plus the interest that could be earned we could already be close to the money we need.

Future schedules have Kansas State making its first trip to Denton, Tex. to face North Texas in 2010. This is the last line in the preview of this weeks game on meangreensports.com It would seem that this would be a perfect opponent to open a new stadium with. There fan's travel well, and it is a team that we should be able to compete with.

That is not true.. you can be on the travel squad everyweek, and still get redshirted.. My guess is they want to be ready for possible injuries at QB, and if there are an injury or two they want to have Riley around for his knowledge of the system. I would assume after a few games if he has not played he may be removed from the travel squad as that is changed from week to week.

Jankovich was a good coach, he would have had success at North Texas if it was not for Helwig, in my opinion.

TU tentatively completed its nonconference schedule with games at North Texas (Sept. 6) and against New Mexico (Sept. 20) and Central Arkansas (Sept. 27) in the renovated Chapman Stadium.

Care to give more information.. Maybe the board can talk highly about him and Coach Dodge will take notice...
