  1. I realize this is always an emotional issue. While it would be great to be in a position to recruit all High School players would it be better for NT to place a heaver emphasis on JUCO players? Could this help us become more competitive overall?
  2. If for any reason we play like we did against Tulsa K-State - 62 N T - 9 If we play like we did against MTSU K-State - 31 N T - 10 If DD is applying for his future job K-State - 24 N T - 20
  3. MARK THE TIME!!!! The words Respect and LaTech in the same post (without the words Lack of)
  4. We (UNT) have had our players in trouble and they have played. I am not syaing you are not correct but let's remember our backyard has not always been that clean.
  5. We return the 3rd least amount of returning starters, not the 3rd youngest. If we are going to use the youth/inexperience card then we also need to question why, knowing we were going to be so young/inexperienced we did not hit the JC's a little harder.
  6. I guess after last night Utah will drop
  7. I have to go with the ???Touchdown??? in Austin. Beating UT in Austin would have been great.
  8. One thing to say about DD – he sticks with what he knows will work. While others may switch to the “flavor” of the week, DD sticks to what is proven. His goal is not to impress others, but rather to quench that inner thirst!
  9. Let's see... tie goes to the runner ... We have the better runners .. WE WIN!!!!
  10. Any truth to the rumor that the new Diet Coke guy has a younger brother who is pouring on the sidelines around Longview? Talk is he may break his brother's high school pours per game average.
  11. That only brings up the potential issue the year after when they both are battling for “pouring” time.
  12. I know the first response is win both. I know everyone is focused on the conference winning streak and winning another conference championship, however for the future of our program is it more important for UNT to have success in our out of conference games against schools like Tulsa and LaTech? While winning the Belt is great, winning the belt withour OOC wins against D1 teams will hurt us.
  13. With all due respect, if you want him out there for his experience and the fact he could help keep our new QB focused that is fine, but enough with this “because he’s a senior”. We need the best players on the field who the coaches believe will help us win the game – period! Some may agree, and others disagree with DD’s tactics, but let’s hope that he fielding the best players based on what they bring to the teams ability to win and not using their remaining eligibility to determine playing time.
  14. They need to review before they publish - Subscription site shows "UTEP" Video/Audio Year Subscription $ 99.95 An entire year of UTEP Athletic events. Subscription runs one year from the date of sign-up.
  15. My exact thoughts. There is a good chance doing the "right" thing will bump up LaTech's stock in the next round of changes.
  16. Emmit, You are correct that their plates may be a bit more full than the average student - But then again the average student does not have anywhere near the tutoring resources available to them as an athlete.
  17. It looks as if they will be at SMU. I guess I’m a little surprised that they did not end up in the Houston area with Rice, UofH, and Reliant. Does anyone know if UNT might have offered use of our facilities?
