Really well researched. Dion Novil went from 315 pounds on page 2 of this preview, to 330 pounds on page 3. 🤔
Update after lunch?

Would be best if there was a guarantee that one G5 would get be guaranteed.
There are only 5 of the P5 conferences. So if the Top 6 Conferences champs are in then at least one will get in

BS! It's still based on polls / rankings. Easily manipulated. It clearly states the highest ranked conference winners get in. So much smoke and mirrors.
But on the bright side at least 1 G 5 team will be in

Why do I get the feeling the P5 schools will get a larger increase in the split than the G5 schools

If Ruder wins the job I would be surprised to see Drummond stick around, since Ruder is technically a redshirt freshman still. Sitting behind a guy for four years in hopes of becoming a starter as a redshirt senior is not a very desirable situation.
Could be wrong, but I really don't think Ruder plans to stay here four years. I think he sees Seth's offense as one that can allow him to put up really nice numbers and if he could have a couple of really good/great years it might give him a chance to try and move to the next level.

I posted the stat previously but of Deonte Simpson’s 517 receiving yards, the number of those that came from Aune was around 453 yards.
Simpson is the Z receiver which means he is the outside receiver on the far side of the field (if the ball is on the left hash, Simpson will be lined up along the right sideline). The coaches did not trust Bean throwing this far across the field, but they did with Aune.
Simpson had 360 receiving yards in the 4 games where Aune took the majority of the snaps (SMU, USM, Charlotte, UTEP). That’s over a 1,000 yards pace for a 12 game season. Whether it is Aune or Ruder, having a QB with the arm strength to make throws all over the field is really going to make us tough to defend. The playbook is going to be wide open for either of them, just a matter of who can execute more consistently.
With the eligibility they have left, how does this work out for a player like Drummond? Do we hope that he is willing to sit 2-3 years?

Maybe the Rangers should play "Taps" at the 7 th inning stretch since they are already out of the game by then.
I like you optimism at thinking they need to wait until the 7th. Maybe the Rangers can start a new trend - The 3rd inning surrender

If the O-Line play is solid any of the QBs will most like have a very good year with the receivers we and the RBs. The Offensive side of the ball should not be the reason this team does not win 6+ games

If he couldn't get a majority vote by the CUSA Presidents to fire Judy then all of them must have their heads in the sand.
If the schools in this conference think Judy is the answer then CUSA will continue to fail. Go find the best person available and do the right thing

Was not sure .........
What is the difference between an official visit and an unofficial visit?
Any visit to a college campus by a college-bound student-athlete or his or her parents paid for by the college is an official visit. Visits paid for by college-bound student-athletes or their parents are unofficial visits.
During an official visit the college can pay for transportation to and from the college for the prospect, lodging and three meals per day for both the prospect and the parent or guardian, as well as reasonable entertainment expenses including three tickets to a home sports event.
The only expenses a college-bound student-athlete may receive from a college during an unofficial visit are three tickets to a home sports event.

I heard the KP move was reasonable up front, but he's (KP) failed miserably to continue producing in Dallas what he did at his previous stop.
He has to stay healthy if the Mavs want to get past the first round

Yep. All 10 FBS conference champs + 2 At Large.
This will catch all the Top 5 (usually)
Don't disagree, but the P5 conferences will never agree

Let's see
- 5 teams - P5 Conference Champs
- 1 team - Highest rate G5 team
- 4 teams - Next 5 highest ranked teams **
- 2 teams - At-Large - So they can make sure a team like Notre Dame or Texas get in
** Not more than 3 teams from any one conference
Another change I would like to see - No more split conferences. Play every team in your conference like the B12 does

It really is all up to Wren. If Wren is happy and can settle for ending up at North Texas Seth may retire here. If Wren is wanting to move up the AD food chain he will fire Littrell for another mediocre season. I tend to think it is somewhere in between. I seriously doubt Phil Bennett decided to come out of retirement only to be be shown the door along with Littrell after this season. My spidey sense says that he has two more years and the pressure to win comes hard in 2022.
Seth it seems is very well liked by the people who could provide the money to buy-out his contract. Would be nice if they could restructure his contract like Michigan did with Harbaugh to make it more incentive based.

UTEP is just UTEP, Dimel has destroyed the program even more than it already was…
Even during their bad time it seemed a lot of Miner fans were always optimistically hopeful. Dimel seems to have crushed the souls of even the biggest Miner fans. This man needs to go.

I've not heard about the Carlisle dynamic - sources? Are you talking about him being upset about calling the timeout? Wouldn't read much into that.
Best thing we can do is try to integrate KP. His value is at rock bottom right now - you will not be able to move that contract. Interest in him was mild at best before his latest injury and would be non-existent right now.
I'm very worried for Mavs ability to attract talent with our limited space - our best bet is some veterans giving us a sweetheart deal.
Had seen it mentioned on ESPN and a couple of talk shows. Not sure how big of an issue it is; guess time will tell.
I'm not hopeful for any sweetheart deals unless they can add another piece that makes a veteran looking for a ring think he can come to Dallas and get one. I just don't have a lot of faith in Cuban.

What can the Mavs do to not waste his talent? I would hate to see him leave. Kristaps Porzingis has not been able to stay healthy and there are those who say Luka is not a big fan of Carlisle. For all of the talk of how Cuban looks after his players, he cant seem to land big-time free agents. Not sure Luka will stay around like Dirk did.

I hope Seth rolls with one QB the entire year, no more of the BS.
I also hope Ruder pans out. No offense to Aune, but Ruder seems like a better candidate for the offense even if he hasn’t been in our system.
Agree. If Ruder is not he starter by midseason it was a wasted transfer. With the young QBs we have if you brought him in with the amount of time he has left he needs to be a starter

Let's hope for the best for Seth and North Texas. His success next season will bode well for our long term success
Correct. Seth has had very good recruiting classes the past two years. If he leaves, with the ease and popularity of the portal, we could have quite a few players take off

With this group of receivers, an improving O-line and a QB who steps up, we might have a RB with a monster year
