Yes, we didn't have the SLC template, we had the South Carolina template with the shoulder stripes removed. Just because both were kelly green with piping doesn't make them the same design, or make our uniforms "high school." A majority of the uniforms in the FBS have stripes, piping, trim, etc.

While I like shortened SOW pant stripes and number font, the jersey's are just basic ringer ones like the 05-06 ones. They need stripes, piping, something.

The two patterns I'd like to see: Small "North Texas" wordmark, like previous UA jersey (second uni set messed up)Number font should be the Athletic Font developed with the new branding, like the 05-06 jerseyAdd SOW to the hip opposite of the Swoosh, like previous UA pantsMaybe add the SOW to the center of the collar and above the rear nameplateMaybe/probably get rid of the belly piping on the second option, like Missouri did (or made it the jersey color. the seam is still there.)Also, the second option uses the dark green from the bowl years next to the black side panels and for the cuffs/collar

Our 2007-2010 uniforms were UA's template for South Carolina without the shoulder stripes, not Southlake Carroll's. And UA's piping/striping from our uniforms was tasteful compared to a number of the Nike templates out there: Miami, Central Florida, Michigan State, Nevada, West Virginia, Illinois, Utah State, the Pro Combat trash. Mizzou's would work if you make the black green and the yellow to black, with white pants/green stripe pattern. Actually, this looks like Baylor's current template if you kellyed the green and made the gold white. UTEP's Denver Broncos-ish pattern isn't too bad, and neither is the Southern Miss set. We could even make one of the small panels the old apple or dark green for history's sake. Helmets: Green SOW, outlined in black, on the white helmet, black or white facemask. If we had to have pride stickers, that talon without the wordmark would be ok.

Nothing wrong with our current shade of green or our modern-striped uniforms, but we do need the green SoW on a white helmet for home games and a white SoW on green helmets for the away whites.

I think Slocum or Fran* actually contacted UNT/RV wanting the job and got the cold shoulder. Regardless of their presupposed mentality, I'm pretty sure we'd be better off four years later with one of them than we are with the high school coach. *could be another "been there, done that, had success" coach, but those names are sticking in my head.

This is ridiculous. Will we even get our token 1 or 2 wins this season?

I have no complaints about our current modern UA template (South Carolina's minus the shoulder stripes). Green pants in the same shade as the numbers would work, or at least a metallic green helmet for road games. If we did get a black-for-black's-sake (bfbs) jersey in the same style as the current jersey, it should be worn with the white pants only. Philly's bfbs/green pants is regularly panned on UniWatch.

From the Green Gang Blog, "4.99 isn't that much, but the athletic department does receive a cut of that money for each app sold." I'm also awaiting more thoughts on the app. $5 is a bit much for me, unless it kicks all sorts of ass. However, if I get sweet concession deals, it'll pay for itself in one trip.

I wish Nate would bring his throws down a few feet. I'm afraid one of these will sail over the receiver and get picked off.

I, too, would rather have the SOW. Hopefully this is a second helmet for the all-white road uniforms, as it doesn't seem to go with the green jerseys.

While I'd rather see just a big SOW, and the big logo and the "UNT" look slightly squished, I'm glad they finally made us.
