I think everyone is missing my point. I never said that the 3 members who rooted for UT was correct. In fact I said it was wrong. But every year someone complains about what the Green Brigade does or does not do but no one ever takes it up with the band director to change things. No wonder nothing has changed..... But I guess people on this board won't believe anything I say. But what do I know? I was only in the Green Brigade for 5 seasons working my ass off to put a good show on the field. I tried to help increase school spirit not only in the band but around campus. I guess that isn't good enough. The music wasn't right or we took our jackets to prevent overheating or we didn't have the formations or we didn't perform an exciting show. Nothing the band does is EVER good enough.

If someone wants to foot the bill to fit the band with matching shorts and hats, then fork over the money. Until then, the shorts won't match and the hats won't be uniformed. UT's band budget is quite a bit higher than ours. So we cannot be compared to them. I thought maybe this year people won't have anything to bitch about with the Green Brigade, but what was I even thinking that this year was going to be any different? Ok, the three members that were cheering for UT should be reprimanded. Bad choice on their part. But it is infuriating that instead of giving the band director any sort of piece of advice or input, people come here to complain. NEWS FLASH: If you want better music or the band wearing white socks (not that this should EVEN be an issue), then give constructive criticism to the band director. That is the ONLY way to get things changed. I am going to get off now before I say things that I shouldn't.

Yeah I watched this game even though I did not care who won the game since I am not a fan of either team. However, both teams have tremendous defensive talent. It was a battle and a low scoring game and I got bored even more quickly. I see both teams going far this season and each going 11-1 with one of them maybe going 12-0 and winning the ACC. We'll see.. GO MEAN GREEN!!! BEAT THE PONIES!

My last comment was a little harsh now that I look back at it. Sorry statefanatic. But when statefanatic posted his comment, it came off at least to me as sarcastic and like he wanted to pick a fight. Yes, they won and we lost. But I find it amusing that they are excited about a win over Army. Yes, it is a win, yada yada yada. But if we were to tear down the goal posts after beating Nicholls State in 2002, it would have been viewed the same as ASU tearing the posts down after beating Army.

Maybe if they won more, a win against Army wouldn't feel like winning the Rose Bowl.

Statefanatic, when you actually beat someone of importance (though I don't forsee that happening this season), come back and we can have a discussion. Until then, you may continue studying your grammar and spelling lesson.

I understand the frustrations of everyone who has had an issue with the parking office...their responses are pathetic and need an overhaul....But as you well know, the regulations and how they are handled are not going to change, so the only thing that we can do to avoid the office is to obey the awful regulations they have.

I can't wait til the dust settles on this albino squirrel's death and we can finally move on to more important things in life.

I love our AD. We have the best AD in the land. He has renewed (not that I ever lost my faith in the Mean Green) my belief in North Texas and the Mean Green! GO MEAN GREEN!!

Let's not feed the masses as that can get expensive. We should only be feeding board members, players parents, the NT Dancers, cheerleaders, and the Green Brigade. I say feed the dancers, cheerleaders and Green Brigade because this is the chance these students have to eat all day. (I speak from experience since I was in the Green Brigade for 5 years). But for everyone else (the "average joe" person), they can eat at the concessions. (I don't mean for that to sound rude if it did.) But this is only my two cents!

We do need a QB in the worst way, but the part that would suck if we got him is that he would have to sit out a year due to transfer rules which means we still need a QB this year.

If we let DD stay after a 4-7 season with every OOC game lost, that would be tragic. I love DD, but we can't keep everyone we love. We have to produce results and this IS the season we have to produce them. I want to see us at 8-3 at the end of the season and in the Bowl game. Enough said.

I bleed Mean Green forever. They are my first and only passion in college football. However, I will cheer for Wisconsin, Texas and Texas Tech (as long as they aren't playing the Mean Green) because I have family that went to those schools. (Dad went to Wisconsin; brother is currently an MBA student at UT who also holds a bachelor's from UT; and a sister in law who holds two degrees from Texas Tech!) But don't get me wrong, I am a true Mean Green backer. There is nothing better than watching the Mean Green in action. Is it football season yet?

Oh sure...Now I realize I could have used this while I needed it last fall when I was still in school......Hmmmm...maybe I will decide I need a second master's degree and go back to school just to use this! Decisions decisions!
