  1. Question: When was the last time Larry Coker cured his own stroke by downing a fifth of Grey Goose? Bam!
  2. I dont think ECU would get 10 points at Apogee. Maybe 3. Anything over 7 would be a 'bet 'til your hands bleed' no-brainer.
  3. Should be an instant contender in the East with the departure of ECU. Marshall will bring Rakeem Cato back, and MT is going to be strong as usual. Other than that, they should be able to beat alot of the others on that side of the conference.
  4. That would be my 5000th post folks. Just like all of my other posts... inconsequential.
  5. Congratulations on being hated enough to warrant the special request.
  6. I actually read that the roadrunner can fly in short spurts if it gets scared, kinda like a chicken. Hmmmm. I guess we'll find out on Saturday. I expect a UTSA HOF'er to be scared a little.
  7. So can I let someone on rowdyfans borrow my avatar? Cheers to a good game and some education on the meanest Booger SA has ever seen.
  8. Sounds like he's already forgotten about the defense. I bet McHargue and co. haven't.
  9. College was completely foreign to me and my family growing up. No one had been to college, ever. My dad was absent from my young life and my step-father travelled all the time on business, so it was pretty much just me and my twin sisters who were 8 years younger than me. School was not quite as important as being the "man of the house", but I was blessed with enough smarts and drive to go to college. I visited UT several times in high school (friends' older siblings attended) and fell in love. I visited UNT my Jr yr of HS, and really enjoyed my visit. I also visited Tech and wondered why the school was even there and how anyone would want to attend. Lastly, I visited Midwestern St in Wichita, and decided I would go there before Tech. But it was really between UT and UNT. Those were the only 2 schools I applied to. UT accepted me provisionally. And I was about to go, but I could not bring myself to be that far away from my family. UNT fit perfectly. My freshman year was fall of 2000. I still rooted hard for the Longhorns and would much rather watch a UT game on TV than a UNT game in person. I went to the Baylor game at Fouts in 2000 and did not go back to a NT football game until 2002 in Austin. I was in Orange. It felt kinda weird. UT pounded UNT in the first half, but strangely, I was impressed with the defense. I was jeering the inferior team just like everyone else in the crowd. During the second half, I was sitting quietly while everyone else around me was getting frustrated with UT's inability to move the ball on the UNT defense. My athletic allegiance shifted that day. Later that year, I attended the 'goalpost game'. Hooked ever since. Never made it to a NO Bowl though However, my love for my University began much earlier than that. My best friend to this day was the guy I was randomly paired to dorm with at Clark Hall. I got plugged into several different organizations while I was on campus: Intramurals, Campus Crusade for Christ, Club soccer, and the inaugural Eagle Camp. I met a special lady in 2001. We were friends for 5 years before realizing we loved each other & got married. Graduated in Dec. '05. I, like 90, had no idea about this site until I was searching for information on Dickey's last recruiting class in spring '06. I lurked for a while and was energized because of the Dodge hire. I decided to sign up and post every once in a while I love the Mean Green, but I love The University of North Texas even more.
  10. What will be interesting to see when you look at some of those JJ career avg #'s VS Benford's 1yr #'s will be how much the rebounds and blocks (especially blocks) shrink from last year to this year due to the lack of one singular player. A guy he had for his entire 1yr stats and JJ had for 1/2 of a year on his 11yr avg. I love me some George, Q, & Davis, but those guys were not boarding and blocking like Tony. George was putting up monster numbers on the boards. I think he and Tony averaged about the same.
  11. Good feedback Jazzer. Question: Does the $16.50/credit hour count only for Willis, or is it also used for the SRL and other smaller offshoot libraries (if there are any?) as well?
  12. Re: the Auditorium, the issue is with that dang organ rattling the walls. Wouldn't surprise me if all the sheetrock came crumbling down one day while someone is practicing.
  13. Watched the first part of those hudl highlights. He's going to have to stop the 'throw down' stuff on those RBs/QBs in the backfield or he's going to be hated wherever he goes. RB's will keep their balance, change direction, and pick up yards when he tries that at the FBS level. Wrap these fools up, drive them to the ground, and punish them. Love the size though!
  14. With the talent on this team, he should have "a chance to play in the NCAA tournament"...
  15. Here's a little bit of clarity amidst the chaos. I appreciate this. And, I agree.
  16. Oh, I think they could. The Bulldogs will scratch & claw (and bite) their way to bowl eligibility after losing this weekend at Rice, probably in a pretty close game. It's been a tough transition year for them, but this is the team we need to latch onto and hate... not the birds that don't fly.
