If you listen to both Chico & McCarney, they've both expressed concern with Williams' build and his ability to withstand some of the punishing hits he may take. If you call a rollout, you're taking away his O-line protecting him, and leaving him open to a hit.

This could wind up being a fantastic opportunity for UNT and our "Best Buy in the West" (or whatever) angle! Since our tuition and room & board is cheaper than most other D1 colleges, we could pay that and tack on a little sumpm-sumpm for these guys. Plus, no state income tax in Texas! You live in a dorm, so no property tax either! Come one, come all to the new NCAA powerhouse in Denton, TX!

If you couldn't see the hurry-up offense at times last season, you weren't paying enough attention. It was situational. We certainly didn't run it 100% of the game. I would think our guys would be gassed if we did that, and it's not anywhere near the core of McCarney's offensive philosophy.

Would be nice to get in Abilene and start winning some battles out there.

I wonder if Joey Florence had anything to do with that. Maybe not him directly saying "don't go to UNT", but just not as enthusiastic about a UNT offer. Hopefully UNT's chances with Ryan recruits will be different with Henigan.
